Very nice 1956 Triumph TR3 in British Racing Green with a black interior and top. I bought the car a few years back from an engineering professor at a college in Michigan.  He had completely restored the car to a 100 point condition. The car was impeccable in every fashion.  It enjoyed a total engine and transmission rebuild. brakes. wiring and a frame off body and paint job.  He purchased the car from the original owner. who he told me was also an engineering professor in St. Louis. I believe.  I've driven the car as it was intended. and have enjoyed it immensely.  It is no longer a 100 point car. of course. but is still extremely presentable and probably ranks as a #2 condition. with a #1 reserved as a trailer queen.  There are a couple minor scratches on the paint. and some chips on the front from Minnesota bugs.  There is very minor chipping of the chrome around where the bolts hold onto the front bumper. As you can see from the photos of the underside. there is no rust. which is unusual for British cars of this vintage.  In fact. that's the one thing that sports car writer Keith Martin harps about -- watch out for rust on these cars.  Last year. I had the radiator rodded and repaired as the filler neck had cracked.  I also had the car tuned up with new ignition components.  It has fresh Amsoil synthetic oil and a new filter.  The battery is a couple of years old and is always on a battery tender.  The top. top frame and tonneau are all in great shape. and have frankly never been used by me.  The car stays indoors under cover all year round and is never used when it rains. The wire wheels are in great shape. The brakes and transmission work as they should. and the engine as you'd imagine. runs great.  It has an electric fan fitted for extra hot days. although I rarely need to use that. Although it is fitted with a Laycock de Normanville overdrive. that unit is currently not working.  It worked great last year. and I don't know if it is a wiring issue (the most common) or something else.  Anyway. I do not believe that it would be a huge deal to fix. but there you have it.  The overdrive does not affect the functioning of the car. which shifts and runs as it should.  It's just missing that very upper end o/d speed. The car comes with the full tool kit. jack and wheel hammer.  It also comes with a British Motor Industry Heritage Trust certificate showing that the car came off of the line on October 18. 1955.  It was originally white with red leather interior and a black top. with wire wheels and overdrive as options. As it is an early TR3 small mouth. it has drum brakes all around.  This car is in very hard to find condition for a TR3.  The only reason I'm selling it is that with two little kids. I'm going to need a 4 seat Morgan or something similar to avoid being quite so selfish. My buy it now price is smack is less than what Keith Martin values these at. and is actually much less than NADA.  It's also less than Hagerty's value:

The reserve is slightly less. but nothing to get excited about.  The car is located at my summer home in Vergas. Minnesota. 1/2 hour from Interstate 94 and one hour from I-29 and I-94 in Fargo. ND.

Here is a YouTube clip of the car to show how it runs:
