This is a 1969 FJ40 Land Cruiser that has been extensively modified. I bought it 3 years ago and have been working on it since then trying different motors and upgrading systems. I have another project so this one needs a new home. As you can see from the list of modifications it doesn't need anything. and it can go pretty much anywhere you want. With the power steering and auto transmission it is very nice on the highway and still geared low enough to use on the trail.

New 5. 3L Chevrolet Vortec motor (Goodwrench). 20mi as of now w/new: block. heads. oil pump. water pump. alternator. injectors. MAF. headers and new PSI wiring harness with flashed computer. the rest of the engine accessories were re-used and show wear but function fine. New aluminum radiator with trans cooler and electric fan.

Rebuilt 4L60E automatic Overdrive transmission. 10mi as of now w/new pump. accumulator. shift kit. bands. filter and new Lokar shifter

Rebuilt Toyota 3-speed transfer case with twin stick shifter. all bearings. seals and wear parts

Rebuilt front axle. ~1700mi on it with Wilwood disc brakes. seals and bearings

Rebuilt rear axle. ~500mi on it with Aussie locker. bearings. outer seals and Chevrolet disc brakes

Front and rear OME lift springs. rear are FJ60 springs making wheelbase 6" longer. 5 new 33" BFG All Terrain tires on 15" steel wheels

Bilstein 5100 shocks

New power brake booster. master cylinder. all hard lines and stainless flex lines

New wiring (fuse panel and ALL wiring). gauges. heater and electronic heater flow switch. some factory Toyota switches and some aftermarket

All LED lights. turn. tail. reverse. Headlights have LED daytime running lights that changes to an Orange LED for the turn signal.  Gauges and dome lights are all LED.

Custom seat frame and currently has Smart ForTwo seats in it with a center console. can put pretty much any seats in it. new 3-point front belts and new rear lap belts. rear flip and fold seat with headrests (seats 4 safely)

Power steering gearbox from Toyota pickup with a 1973 FJ40 steering column (key on column and better turn signal switch)

Has a brand new BesTop soft top and 2-piece doors.

Custom front and rear bumpers (WINCH NOT INCLUDED). Rear tire swing out and cooler rack. Stock 1969 rear doors behind the swing outs.

Body has been gone over and all the rust I could find was removed and new metal welded in. there is very little Bondo on this truck. Then painted with Monsta-Liner textured finish and then Rustoleum. so its tough and super easy to fix. The Monsta-Liner has been controversial. some people love it and some people hate it. It would be possible. but very labor intensive to remove. I do have different: hood. fenders. aprons. bib and rear doors that could be swapped and painted if the texture is that offensive. but at a cost.

Most of the trim pieces and all hinges have been powdercoated matte black. Front bumper is powdercoated.  Hood. windshield and rear door fasteners are all stainless.

The truck comes with a bikini top too and a couple of extras I haven't used in building this.  This is NOT my daily driver but we do take it around town and to the beach because its a ton of fun to use. so the mileage will go up.  Baby seat is NOT included!

When I bought this truck it had a 305 and a Muncie transmission. It worked ok. but then I put a 350 in it and it was more fun. Then I got the Vortec bug and put a 4. 8L with a Toyota 4-speed manual. That was a great combo for around town but 1:1 final ratio sucked on the highway with 4. 11 axles. Now it has the NEW 5. 3L and the 4L60E it's lost some of its tractor like charm but gained a TON of usability and modern drivability. This still retains the classic FJ40 look but is much more practical with power steering. power brakes and the automatic transmission. The chevy drivetrain is easy to work on and parts are available anywhere.  Recently I have noticed a little oil coming out the rear output of the transfer case. if I don't get it pulled and fixed before the sale I will deduct $700 from the selling price.
