Ford Consul Capri 335 Superb Modified Car One Of The Best 1963 Engine 3.0 essex

here we have my beautiful ford classic capri. tunning car thousands of pounds spent on her.

a pillarless coupe with American styling which in 1963 nobody wanted now highly desirable.

started life before restoration as white and a column change. /p>

restoration all done in 2002 and not done many miles after then . hus the condition its still in.

were do we start . he body was all kept standard with mostly new panals fitted. ome used ones as well.

finished in bmw blue.

heres a list of modifications. nderneath completely renewed. ills. utriggers. loors. oot floor etc.

the drivetrain is a 3. 0 litre Essex out of a Cortina savage. oupled up to a xr4i 5 speed box. hen a 3. 0 litre capri bellhousing then a capri rear axle.

radiator is a 3 litre capri triple cored.

front crossmember is a 2 litre capri modified. uspension 2. 8 legs. 90lb lowered and uprated springs and vented discs.

and a remote servo is fitted.

rear is orig leafs with extra added and telescopic dampers.

the interior is all bmw grey leather with contrasting blue piping to match the car colour. /p>

all doorcards etc have all been done to match the car colour as per photo.

interior dash all colour coded inc steering wheel as per photo.

exhausts are demon tweeks full stainless with 4 boxes to quieten her down but she rumbles and purrs. /p>

so overhall she is a great car with a mag feature when restored and a mag feature coming up which I will pass on. /p>

the condition of the car is super. dd bits here and there but a 1963 car need looking after

the only things I have replaced are the starter motor and a caliper.

the tank was removed and a 28 litre traveller tank put behind rear seats and the fuel filler relocated to rear of back window. /p>

bad bits if you like old cars always has them

speedo not working new one provided.

clutch will soon need adjusting or new one fitting. mall problems really

Owners its had five i think it was one up to 2001 V5 in my name Few questions on bodywork its superb Few scratches round fuel filler as missed with nozzle Couple minor dints in bonnet were it fell down one were it hit the top of carb and another on a strut but these are minor its simply superb. uperb looks. uperb to drive. The front seats are mg metro very comfy. any thing else i miss or questions i will post here thankyou
