EQUIPMENT
Fuel. oil temperature. oil pressure. water temperature gauges. Rev counter and speedo. Getrag dogleg 5 speed gearbox. Jenvey 40mm throttle bodies. Emerald K6 management.

EXTERIOR
The bodywork on this stunning 250 recreation has been hand crafted in aluminium by what can only be described as artists. Hand crafted by eye and painstakingly riveted together the beautiful shape of this iconic F1 car is unlike anything on the road. The racing red paintwork has been applied without bodywork preparation to mimic the painting technics back in the day. Similarly there is no lacquer. it is simply painted so that the craftsmanship of the body is still visible as it would have been during the 50s. creating a vintage look.

INTERIOR
The cockpit is lined with essential modern gauges and is surrounded by the space frame chassis. beautifully welded and laid out in a minimalist style. The custom made seat is tailored to the driver so a new seat and fitting will be arranged on purchase.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The BMW straight six engine has been fully rebuilt and utilises Jenvey 40mm throttle bodies and Emerald K6 management. It has just had a recent service and a cambelt replacement in the last 500 miles. Dimensionally it is almost identical to the original Maserati straight six and combined with the 680kg weight of the car it produces enough power for some startling acceleration. The getrag 5 speed dogleg gearbox is a reliable match for the engine providing sport gearing and acceleration while aiding a 50/50 weight distribution and a curb weight identical to the original. A BMW LSD is also fitted to the drivetrain.

WHEELS. TYRES & BRAKES
The period skinny tyres are fitted to 6 x 16 center-lock wire wheels all in perfect condition. The brakes fitted with willwood 4 pot calipers on the front and a single pot on the rear.

HISTORY FILE

Recent service history include a cambelt change 5months/500miles ago. an oil change 3months/200 miles ago and a brake fluid change 6 months ago. The car has covered only 2063 miles since its recreation.

Finished in September 2011 the car was registered using the ID of the BMW donor vehicle. Built to a new car standard it is exempt from MOT for the first 3 years.

The car is on a 1990 registration and will be supplied on a G plate however the current UK registration plate 418D is available by separate negotiation.
