EXTERIOR
Finished in Classic Red. (colour code SU). this Mazda MX-5 looks fabulous with an amazing deep gloss shine. Having been garaged from new by the first owner it has preserved the exterior with no colour fade. A few minor dings and touch ups on very close inspection commensurate with the vehicles age can be seen. Still sporting the original Mazda Dealer number plates front and rear and security stickers on the glass. The front plate has been cracked. The black canvas hood is in excellent order with a tight fit and no cracks or damage. The rear plastic window is clear but with a few marks.

INTERIOR
Trimmed in the standard Black Cloth upholstery this interior is exactly how Mazda intended. Everything is co-ordinated and operates perfectly. The high backed seats have adjustable integral headrests offering maximum comfort and support and show no wear. The classic sports dashboard houses a cluster of no-nonsense instruments that function precisely. An optional Mazda Dealer fit Sony stereo is still present as are all the internal door stickers. The tonneau cover. tool kit. wheel brace and space saver wheel are all present and spotlessly clean.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
To experience driving a well maintained and cared for Mk 1 MX-5 is a true motoring delight. The lightweight 1. 6 90bhp engine sits low offering an incredible low centre of gravity making handling perfectly balanced and responsive. The regularly serviced engine is lively and power flow very smooth with excellent low to mid-range torque. The close ratio gearbox provides short and positive gear changes. Brilliant!

WHEELS. TYRES & BRAKES
This exceptional Mazda has been fitted from new with the Dealer fit 14” Stealth Alloys at a cost of £320. Correct Dunlop SP 200 185/60 R14 tyres are fitted with the rear being brand new. Slight curbing to wheels in places. Power assisted large 235mm ventilated discs at the front and solid 231mm at the back ensure maximum feel with ample life remaining.

HISTORY FILE
Purchased new by a Mr Noble at Pinewood Mazda in Caterham. Surrey. for his wife as a surprise Valentine's day present this amazing example has remained in his care up to our purchase in January 2012. Refusing the new shape he managed to secure one of the last UK Mk1 examples in Classic Red to the delight of his wife! Sold to the second owner by us we were very grateful to have first refusal on buying this car back.

All paperwork remains with the car from the original New Car Purchase Invoice revealing an amount paid in 1998 of £14. 35 to the latest invoices. All handbooks. manuals. spare keys. business cards are neatly contained in the grey Mazda folder along with a sales brochure at time of sale.
