Ford: Mustang GTA | eBay

Up for bidding is a real deal 1967 Mustang GTA fastback A Code  with a marti report. Its a barn find out of Saskatchewan and has been off the road for 25 plus years. This is a real solid car for restoration. the frames are real good and the only thing I could find wrong was a postage stamp size rust hold at the very back of the passenger rear which is an easy fix. . some rust on the torque box but it can probably be saved. The floors are solid but are a mish mash of different ideas. the drivers side has patches. the passenger front was custom fabricated (very solid) and the rear passenger side is aftermarket. Its very. very solid but I would do a one piece floor to make it all the same and correct.  It had a production quality paint job back in the 1980's that actually shines up pretty decent (ONLY 1 REPAINT AS FAR AS I CAN TELL). no waves in the body but there are a million imperfections.  There is bondo in the fender aprons on the usual 4 spots that rust and there is bondo in the drivers door and rear quarters. its not bad and its been there a very long time and shows well. Car is actually a very presentable 10 footer and if you wanted to you could just leave the floor (because its very solid) and just drive it the way it is doing no bodywork. cowl leaks and needs investigation. Trunk is solid as well. roof and body lines are good. Every panel including the rear quarters are original to the car except the rear valence. Car would need to be stripped to see exactly what it needs but I suspect you would find more good than bad. The car runs and drives but needs a complete going through mechanically & electrically.  Interior is all intact and pretty good but should be redone as its a bit musty. there was no carpet when I got it and I replaced it and the kick panels as I was fixing It up for a driver till I lost interest in it. The engine is numbers matching for a 1969 Mach-1 or Cougar M code its the coveted 1969 351 M code that they made for one year only and that everyone wants. Here is the deal with the engine. My other car is a 1969 Cougar M code with just a regular 351w and I need to keep the engine because it would make my Cougar numbers matching so I'm keeping it and will supply you with a 1968 302 with 289 heads with 75000 miles. it needs a rebuild. The wheels are also off my Cougar and I will be keeping those and supplying some factory GT wheels which are correct for this car. Phone for Marti report.

I am also selling my beloved 1969 Cougar M code. it has a great undercarriage! The torque boxes and inner rockers are original. with no undercoating paint or touch ups they are wonderful. The frame and floors are the same. It has original quarters and kind of a pearl electric blue paint job. It like the Mustang is an original aculpolco blue car. I redid the seats last year. everything works and its an excellent driver that turns heads. I drove it all summer and had a blast.  I have tons of pics that I can email you.  I love my cars but its time to move on as I have other priorities.
