We are moving from a home with 5 car garage to a 2 car garage. I am reluctantly parting ways with my favorite pickup. It was restored with the intent of keeping it for a very long time. I purchased this truck from the original owner in 2010. The original owner worked at Napa for most of his life and took wonderful care of the pickup.   I've devoted a great deal of time/energy/money towards making this a very special truck. My first vehicle ever was a 1980 Toyota 4wd pickup. so I set out to find a 1983. last year of this particular body style. The truck was rust free with the exception of the battery box and bed walls. The original owner had this ingenious idea to fabricate panels for the inside of the bed to prevent the single wall bed from being dinged from the inside. Well. the panels were backed by foam and while the bed was completely straight it was also rusted from all the moisture. After a 6 month search. I located a wrecked 1981 SR5 4x4 long bed with 28. 00 original miles. The truck spent its last 25 years tucked away in a body shop after being declared a total loss from a frontend impact. I made the 4 hour drive and came away with a near perfect bed. The truck has one repaint in its original gray and is near perfect (dusty in pictures from sitting in my shop).  The interior was close to perfect for being 30 years old. I replaced the carpet since it was a bit faded. The door panels are close to perfect.  Seats are completely original and show minimal wear.

I've made several modifications during my ownership:
ARB front bumper (one of the few known to exist for a 1979-1983 Toyota Hilux) – traveled to CA to get the bumper!!!Custom fabricated rear bumperOld Man Emu front springs and shocksOME rear shocks with add-a-leafsOME steering stabilizer31X10. 50X15 Firestone Destination M/T tires (4) Note: At one point. I had 33" BF Goodrich tires. but I recently made change in favor of 31" (improved acceleration. etc). Some pictures from last couple of months may show the 33" KM2 tires. However. the truck now has 31" tires.  Original chrome 15" SR5 wheels with original matching. unused spare tire/wheel. The center caps are not original. but I have the originals for the rear.  I preferred the black look over the original chrome. so I used newer metal capsBlack powder coated tool boxStainless bed rail caps (custom fabricated) by local machinist/fabricator with amazing attention to detail (not your run of the mill caps). They actually wrap the back corners of the bed. Custom aluminum shift knob with rubber coated transfer case knob.  Battery box also fabricated in stainless and mounted to a stainless section of inner fender (also completed by same fabricator)The carpet was done by a local upholster that performs upholstery/carpet work on high end vehicles. Optima deep cycle batteryHella H4 headlamps with upgraded wiring harnessLED turn indicators in the front bumperPIAA 520 driving lamps
Note: The vehicle passed WA state emissions and here's a link to the site to check the emissions record:http://www. emissiontestwa. com/e/TestRecordSearch. aspxInsert WA license plate B61047T to find the test results
I rebuilt the entire front end over the course of a month with great attention to detail. Everything is new with the exception of the axle housing and inner axle shafts. I've included a few pics of the front axle being rebuilt (various stages).  Brakes. seals. bearings. etc. . were all replaced with Marlin Crawler components. All rear brake components are new. I kept the exhaust all stock with exception of the muffler/tail pipe (slightly larger over stock w/Magnaflow muffler offering slightly different sound). I used OEM Toyota parts where possible. Water pump. spark plugs. and misc. other parts are Toyota. I replaced the filters. belts. etc. The interior hasn't been altered with exception of the carpet. The truck was repainted in 2011 with all glass removed. All of the door seals were replaced with OEM rubber along with the windshield seal (OEM). Maybe 1000 miles since repaint.  It shows great and has only the smallest of imperfections (maybe rock chip or two).  I had all of the skid plates professionally powder coated. The gas cap is NOS along with all of the moldings previously mentioned. The mirrors/door handles were powder coated along with the tailgate chains. Stainless fasteners were used on the door sills (black painted stainless screws on sills). tailgate latches. tail gate mounting. plastic vents. The engine/transmission/clutch are in excellent order and consistent with the condition of the pickup. The truck leaks no fluids. The engine compartment is almost entirely original with exception of the custom battery tray integrated into the inner fender (all stainless steel). It was professionally done and looks factory. The benefit is that you'll never have to worry about a battery tray/inner fender corroding again!!!
You are welcome to have the local Toyota dealer inspect the pickup if you wish (your expense). I removed the fuse for the radio. I planned on upgrading the radio but never did.  I'm very confident this truck would perform well if inspected from top to bottom.
All sales are final. No warranty either express or implied. I encourage questions. $500 non-refundable deposit due within 48 hours of auction ending.
Thank you and best of luck.
