1996 Chevrolet Corvette

Up for sale is my triple black 1996 LT4 Corvette Convertible. This car has 127k miles. but from looking at it. you would never know. Other than a short throw shifter and the radio. this car is 100% as it left the factory 20 years ago. If you looking for something to get NCRS judged for originality. this is the car for you. Never been hot rodded. modified. or hacked up. Original is what will keep value. not to mention desirable options such as rag tops. 6 speeds. and optional engine packages. They only made 4. 69 convertibles to begin with. but how many triple black 6 speed LT4 corvettes were made? According to my research. there were 41 cars in 1996 exactly like mine. How many are left? I would think very few. I have divided up the car into sections. so you will know everything about it before you come look at it. so there are no surprises and we don't waste each other's time.
Engine/Transmission: In 1996. they needed something to keep buyers interested in the last year of the C4. They decided to put out an optional higher horse power engine named the LT4. This engine sported 330 hp @5800 rpm and 340 lb-ft @ 4800 rpm. not bad numbers considering other cars similarly priced in 1996. The engine in this Corvette runs great and starts up every time. No noises. knocks or smoke. Recent maintenance includes an oil and filter change with Mobile 1 per the recommendation. If you look down into the valve cover it looks brand new inside. The Opti-spark has been replaced with a new unit from Sac-City Corvette with a two year warranty. Air filter. fuel pump. water pump. fuel filter. plugs and spark plug wires are all recent. The cooling system has also been flushed. and the car runs at 190-200 degrees all day long. The transmission shifts with no issues. The clutch engagement is firm and does not slip or chatter. The internal oil has been replaced and should be good for another 50. 00 miles. The transmission runs through all gears. including reverse. with no problems.
Exterior: The exterior of this car is in great shape. I would give it a 9 out of 10. Mind you it is not perfect. considering it is 20 years old and has been driven and enjoyed. The top is original and has a little bit of wear. but it holds out the weather well and can be used for a few more years. The glass window in the back is in great shape. The overall paint job on the car is great. with only one bubble spot on the driver's side hood. From 5 feet the car looks immaculate. All the exterior lights. including the flip up headlights work as they should. It does have a dealer installed luggage rack on the rear deck.
Interior: The interior is all original. Nothing has been changed at all in the 20 years this car has existed. The carpet. seats. dash. door panels etc are all from 1996 and are in great shape. There is little to no wear on the seat leather. but they could use a good conditioning. The carpet is in great shape with no wear spots through or fading of any kind. The dash and door panels are in awesome shape. needing nothing. ALL the buttons on the inside work. including the windows. mirror controls. cruise. turn signals. horn. gauges and displays. ac/heater controls and settings. seat and ride adjustment controls. This car came with optional sport seats. which have inflatable bladders inside the seats. All of these on both sides work as they should. The radio has stopped working. but I do not know why.
Suspension/Brakes: The tires have been replaced with Nitto TT series tires. These are less than 6 months old and have less than 1000 miles on them. I bought them from discount tire. and they come with a road hazard warranty. The brake pads have been replaced and most importantly the brake fluid has been flushed with all new DOT 3 fluid.

This beautiful Corvette comes with a clean CarFax and also a clean and clear TX title in my name. No surprises or title issues with this car. There is no need to trailer this car. it is 100% reliable and can be driven cross country if needed. Getting 25+ mpg on the highway isn't bad either. Car will be sold as is.
