TRIUMPH GT6 MK 3 – 1973 NON ROTOFLEX WITH OVERDRIVE

I have owned this car for three years and regrettably only parting with it because of new wife and mortgage.

From 1986 it has only covered 3. 00 miles. during which time it has been dry stored and subject to a complete body off restoration of chassis. mechanicals. body and interior between 1994 and 2010. when I purchased and finished the project (lots of paperwork). Since then it has only been used for local classic car shows / sunny days out. covering a meagre 1. 00 miles in my three years and always garaged.

The paintwork is finished in traditional jaguar racing green. mot is until 07. 06. 2014 with no advisories and the current recorded mileage is 88. 20 miles. This car is a good useable appreciating classic. which will give a new owner the fun and enjoyment I have experienced. with an added bonus of free road tax from next April and the opportunity to further enhance the cars show standing with some TLC if desired

The car has good bodywork with solid floors and doors. renewed rear arches and a superb rust free. rebuilt bonnet using new lower panels. Mechanically it is in excellent order with a new stainless sports exhaust. as new steering joints and trunnions. all suspension bushes. all brakes and pipes including flexys. Engine and transmission history is limited but during my ownership I have had it professionally serviced and maintained correctly. with receipts for a new clutch and overdrive solenoid. The only apparent fault I am having difficulty with is the torsion springs not fully supporting the rear hatch door when open. which I will try to adjust.

I would like to point out that this car is 40 years old and has had extensive refurbishment by a previous owner and myself to a good level of finish. is a very smart useable classic. but is not A1 / concourse condition or drives like a modern sports car. so please do not bid expecting it to be so.
