Welcome to my auction of this beautiful Lotus 7 replica. BUT built using many original Lotus 7 parts and some very nice and rare alloys. PLEASE READ ON.

Built to a very high standard in the 1970s by a qualified mechanic who utilized the fact that he had a customers Lotus 7 in his garage and decided to build his own copy and keep it as close to the original as possible.

Genuine Lotus 7 nose cone.
Genuine Lotus 7 rear wings.
Genuine Lotus 7 pedal box.
Genuine Lotus 7 front suspension uprights and wishbones.
Genuine Lotus 7 rear suspension.
Genuine Lotus 7 single bulb headlights.

Fitted with a MK II Ford Cortina 1600 crossflow engine.
Fitted with a 1600 MKII Ford Escort Sport gearbox.
Rear axle is from a 1600 MKII Ford Escort RS2000.
Alloy wheels are very rare indeed. front ones from an Escort RS2000. rear ones from a Ford Capri RS3100.

Long mot until 30th April 2014. no advisories.
Long tax until 30th April 2014. this is an historic vehicle so will always be £0. 00!!!!!!

Current owner for the last 27 years!!!!
119 YUV is the registration number. not transferrable.
V5 states this Lotus recreation was originally in 1960 an Austin Healey. a frogeye I would guess. This is NOT a Q registered kit car!!!! I have checked chassis numbers on the car and the V5 and all match up. So parts of this car were first registered in 1960. Its only had 2 former keepers since 1960!!!!

I have some old mots in the cars history file going back to 2002 and I have the purchase receipt from 1986 when this car was bought for £3000. 27 years ago.

Quite simply a FUN car. And quite a rare one.

Paintwork is finished in the best colour for a Lotus 7. British Racing Green. All in very good order apart from some crazing on the nose cone. I would say £100-£150 to make perfect.

Cooling fan fitted so you can switch on and off when you wish. However. it really needs a Kenlowe cooling fan fitted as lately when I have been driving locally. the temperature gauge is reading hot after 20 minutes of driving. So for this reason I would recommend collecting on a trailer until this issue is resolved.
Always starts first turn of the key and a real fun car to drive.
