This 1937 Packard 120C 4-door sedan has suicide doors and is a beautiful black with a clear coat that makes it just sparkle in the sunshine. We won the people's choice award in May 2016 at a little local car show! And she won 3rd place at an AACA show in 2009 and 2010! This car isn't just beautiful. she runs great! The owner survived a widow-maker heart attack. and if he didn't have to sell this car to pay off some bills. he would be keeping her! He loves this car and has taken excellent care of her!
The car is located in ZIP Code 21043. but she came to us all the way from Boise. Idaho on a car transport truck when the owner bought her sight un-seen (except for some pictures) when he purchased her online! Look closely at the photos. this car still has her 1937 Manual and a 1937 Parts List that come with  her!
In Summer 2016. Owner installed new brake master cylinder. installed new muffler. and discovered that the gas gauge meter behind dash does not work. so U will have to remember to "fill'erup" before U head out on a day trip! The brakes & bearings are in good condition. Owner has installed dual fans to assist the coolant system. and the car has not overheated as many from this era are prone to do.
In 2002. Owner purchased. overhauled. and installed a replacement 1937 Packard engine so numbers do not match on the engine and the firewall; the original engine was recycled. Over the years. Owner has rebuilt starter. distributor. carburator. and water pump. Installed New radiator and Under dash heater. Installed new wiring harness on 12-volt electrical system. Installed battery shut-off system under driver seat that has easy access from back of driver's seat (see photos): No need to remove or lift the front seat to access. The battery shut off system can be used to jump start car.
This car has stunning 4. 5-inch white wall tires bias. ply with inner tubes. Owner upgraded hub caps & beauty rims. The previous owner had the car reupholstered in tan color with brown floor carpet and installed seatbelts in the car. However. nbsp;the car still has the original 1937 rubber around the windows. nbsp;which has caused minor imperfections in the upholstery that were present when purchased from previous owner. We have kept the car in the garage since we have had it.
That beautiful art deco dash clock does not work--maybe the new owner can work on that and the gas gauge at the same time! There is always something that needs to be done on these old cars!
The car has a 3-speed manual transmission. and Owner installed a new clutch and throw-out bearing; making sure the clutch plate was properly positioned. Owner had the gas tank cleaned and coated. All four fenders have protective under coating. and there is new rubber on the running boards.
There is an AM/FM radio and a 1-CD player hidden in glove box. and the speakers are hidden under the back of the front seat (see photos). Owner installed aftermarket temperature and oil pressure gauges under the dash.
This beauty has the original 1937 un-restored chrome on front & rear bumpers. front grill. and hood vents!
