The Chevrolet Camaro is an automobile manufactured by General Motors under the Chevrolet brand. classified as a pony car. and some versions also as a muscle car. It went on sale on September 29. 1966. for the 1967 model year and was designed as a competing model to the Ford Mustang. The car shared its platform and major components with the Pontiac Firebird. also introduced for 1967.

Class-1 Classics is listing this RARE and ONE-OF-A-KIND 1969 Camaro SS X55! For those of you who don't know what an X55 code Camaro is. it means this car was no doubt born from the factory a TRUE SUPER SPORT!!!  The picture below indicates when we believe the car was last on the road (inspection sticker of 1996!).  The previous owner has had this car for the past 30+ years!  

This car is powered by a Big Block Chevy 396 that starts up and runs great (see Under the Hood below) but please keep in mind it is a barn find and has been sitting for over 20 years.   This car will need extensive rust repair during its restoration.  It does have a clean and original interior with desirable features such as a B&M Shifter. factory center console. and bucket seats with headrests!

As with any car that is just about 50 years old. some TLC and work will be needed as classic cars through many owners and are driven through just about every weather condition here on the east coast.  These cars are disappearing quickly so don't let this car slip past!

In summary. this 1969 Camaro presents beautifully and drives very well for being almost 50 years old.  Despite how great this car presents. the paint is over 25 years old and has small rock chips. bubbles. scratches. touch-ups. etc. in some areas of the paint but nonetheless great for a driver.  This car is a true $50. 00 money making opportunity if a collector took the time to restore it.  However. it will need extensive repair to fully restore but to just drive around. minimal work is needed!
