1988 Chevrolet Camaro Iroc Z
8 former keepers
88000 miles (chassis mileage)
V5 present (Still registered as a 5. 7l)
Previous Mots. hpi and vehicle checks all included.

Originally had a 5. 7l v8 engine. I purchased this as a non runner for a project. The body was in good condition for age. Over the last 3 years I have restored this car and installed a new engine a gearbox.

This Is not your normal Camaro!

Powering this Camaro is a big block ford 460 v8. 7. 5litre engine and c6 gearbox. Both the engine and gearbox have been completely rebuilt. I have receipts for all of the parts purchased (mainly from reel steel) and a few bits from the US.   Since the rebuild and installation the engine has covered about 120 miles and runs very well. not for the Faint hearted!

The body has been restored. No rust on the body. Has also been resprayed flame red. looks good but could do with a few touch ups. Interior is original. and in very good condition (needs head lining though). Also there is no heater matrix/blowers due to the new engine (Wasn't enough room for both but pretty sure i still have them and could include them in the sale).

B&M shifter
Custom centre section (fuel pump switches. choke. ignition etc all installed)
New speedo. oil pressure gauge and temp gauge.
Internal LED lights
Grant steering wheel
Original alloys (could do with some new tyres soon)
Micro scan alarm system (talking alarm)
Holley blue fuel pump ( covered less then 10000 miles)
New oil and seal on diff
Borg Warner rear axle/diff ( rare on these cars. 3. 27 ratio)
Custom propshaft
New rear shocks/bushes (on front and rear)
New brakes/callipers on front and rear
New front springs
New track rod ends
New front discs and new pads front and back
All new brake and fuel lines (and fuel filter)
Rebuilt brake master cylinder
Side pipe exhausts (very loud but cherry bombs could be installed)
Changed electric windows with manual winders (due to fault)
All new window and door seals

1970's 460 v8 block (get number)
D3VE Lincoln cylinder heads
New cam bearings
New bearings (complete engine)
Original crank shaft
Comp cams camshaft (choppy idle)
Speed pro flat top pistons (around 10:0:1 compression with heads)
New Molly racing rings
Original conrods (larger than normal however)
New comp cam springs to match camshaft
All new gaskets
New timing chain (twin)
New ally water pump
Original damper etc
Rebuilt alternator
Weiland inlet manifold
Holly 750 double pump carb
Inline fuel pressure gauge
Holly regulator
New HEI distributer
New battery
New ally rad (3" core capable of cooling up-to 750bhp)
2 new 12" electric fans
Silicon top and bottom hoses (with ally joiners for better cooling)
The C6 gearbox has a stage 3 manual shift kit installed in the valve body. This means that you can up and down shift at any rpm so not the same as a normal auto. I also completely rebuilt the gearbox installing new seals. plates. new oil etc.

There are probably a few bits I have missed on the above lists.

On its last MOT (oct 12) it failed on 2 things. (Doc provided)
1. No front registration plate (now sorted and will be supplied)
2. Parking break efficiency below requirements - basically the hand break is not engaging very well on the rear discs due to the new pads. Will either need running in or a small amount taking off of the pads so the piston engages.

Other than that it is fine. There is also no TAX on the car ( It ran out end of November) so will need to be trailered away.

This car is one of its kind.

No tyre kickers please. only contact me for viewings if seriously interested.
Please contact me if you have any other questions.
