2002 Ford F-150

This vehicle is an Asset Seized vehicle being sold through the Roseville Police Department on behalf of the State of California.   The vehicle belonged to a large scale heroin drug trafficker before it was collected by the police department.   I am a police officer. not a car salesman so I will make the best attempt to describe the vehicle.   I make no commission on the sale of the vehicle and my only responsibility is to try to sell the vehicle for as much as the market demands.   The government gets all the money from this sale.

RPD has had this vehicle since January of 2016.   It has been stored. outdoors. in the Roseville Storage yard.   It has periodically been run while in police custody.   This vehicle has a ton of aftermarket stuff that I have no idea where to begin.   Honestly. you best to look at the photographs but I'll give it a shot.   It has a huge lift on it. massive Trxus tires. King off-road racing shocks. mechanically controlled side steps (that don't retract). lights running underneath the body. and a bunch of aftermarket stuff.   I was told the stereo equipment was stolen before the vehicle was recovered but it looks like there is a ton of wiring running from the cab to the bed.   While on that topic. it looks like the previous owner cut away the rear wall of the cab so you can climb directly into the bed from the passenger compartment (refer to photograph).   It appears all the electronics work but the interior has seen better days.   There are several toggle switches (see photos) on the dash that I have no idea what they do.   The sunroof works but the cover that slides over it seems to slide way too far back.   Don't ask me about the head rests because I have no idea where they went.   In terms of running condition. it has not leaked fluids and the tires have held air since we have been in possession of it.   It has some sort of air filter added to the engine and sounds good when running.   At one point. it needed a jump but starts up fine when I start it now.

The purchaser of this vehicle will have to deal with the California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV).   In order for you to drive this vehicle off of the police storage lot. you will need to be present to meet me at the PD and go to the DMV to register it in your name.   I will accompany you to our DMV to help facilitate this.   If you live out of state. you will be required to get a 1 day transport from DMV. unless you are trucking it out.   If that is the case. you will need to register the vehicle in your state before I let you have.   Please don't ask me how that works in your state because every state handles these differently and I only know California law.   If you are registering this vehicle in California. you will probably be required to pay sales tax so be prepared for that.   Additionally. they might make you pay to register the vehicle (including late fees).   To be honest. they usually waive that fee but they might not so that cost will be on you.   I do not know if they will make you smog it but if they do. they typically give you 30 days to complete it.   I have no idea if it will pass smog. but it was previously registered in California which means it did pass at some point.
