1965 Ford Mustang

Available here is a beautiful. dependable. Modernized. nbsp;High Performance  1965 C-Code Coupe with a complete Ground up restoration with so much to list.  This car was born in San Jose CA and lived its life in California's rust free climate. It has now been completely restored and rebuilt for its new owner to enjoy for decades to come. It is an absolute driving pleasure with the conveniences of a later model Mustang with its Automatic Overdrive Transmission. A/C. Power Brakes and Power Steering. The Sport Suspension makes it Handle like a Modern Day Sports Machine. And Power? Oh my is this car quick! With the new 347 Stroker Motor and 4. 10 rear end gears. this car will leave a late model muscle car owner stunned at a stoplight shootout. But put it in overdrive on the freeway and enjoy the good MPG's.

Body and Chassis:

Car was completely stripped to bare metal then treated with epoxy primer. All body seams were properly sealed with 3M seam sealer. Every part was stripped and re-painted. New splash shields. Two stage silver smoke metallic (original color) and clear coat were sprayed on the exterior. New vinyl roof installed.  Engine compartment was painted with the proper semi flat black. Interior was then painted to factory correct black finish. All new body and chassis hardware. grommets. plugs. you name it were installed.  All new chrome and bright work was installed both interior and exterior. All new window and door latch hardware. bushings. felts. seals etc were installed. All new window seals throughout. Interior sound deadening mat was applied top to bottom as well as extra insulation on top of that. All new upholstery was installed top to bottom. Dash was treated to all new bezels. knobs. and switches. Instrument cluster was updated with a new GT 350 panel. 15" grant wood steering wheel installed.  Car was completely rewired with an American Autowire kit. All harnesses were protected with Euro style sleeves. The same sleeving used on late model Mercedes. VW.  Audi etc. Under dash Old Aire Products-Hurricane A/C and heater installed. Retro sound stereo. 1000 watt amp. and Pioneer speakers installed. 6x9's in the rear deck and 6. 5's under the dash. New gas tank. fuel sender and filler tube installed. All new head. tail lights and blinkers. Much. much more.

Engine and Drivetrain: 

Motor is a 1993 Thunderbird 5. 0 roller block bored and stroked to 347. Machine work by Tim McMasters in Hanford CA. . then assembled with some of the following; Scat crank and rods. Weisco pistons. Ford Racing F303 roller cam and roller lifters. Comp Cam true roller rockers. Ford racing timing set. Ford racing push rods. AFR 165cc heads. Summit stage 3 air gap intake manifold. Summit 750cfm carb. Carb has the correct A/C step up solenoid installed.  Every part of this engine is new with High quality performance parts. Estimated 450 hp at the crank. All new 1993 model serpentine accessories such as A/C compressor. Alternator. Power Steering Pump. Water Pump etc installed.  All new belts and hoses. Under drive crankshaft pulley. Electronic distributor using a Chevy style ignition module on heat sink.  New aluminum radiator. A/C condenser and trans cooler with high flow electric cooling fan.  Transmission is a Monster Transmissions performance AOD with a 2500 rpm stall converter with 3 year warranty. New driveshaft with heavy duty U-joints. Rebuilt Ford Explorer 8. 8 rear end with 4. 10 gears. narrowed for proper drive shaft centering and wheel clearance. New disc brake rotors and calipers installed on the rear end. Mid length headers into Pypes dual exhaust.  Too much more to list.

Steering. Brakes and Suspension:

All new power steering components and hoses. All new linkage. New Ultra Performance suspension package with all new control arms. ball joints. bushings etc.  new 600lbs lowering front coil springs. 1. 125" front sway bar. 5 leaf mid-eye rear springs. KYB GR2 shocks.  Complete new CSRP Power Disc Brake kit installed with 4 piston front calipers. nbsp;new master cylinder. vacuum booster. front to rear proportioning valve. brake lines and hoses. slotted rotors etc. Tires are 245-45-17 BF Goodrich G-Force Sport Comp 2's on 17" Bullitt style wheels with correct back spacing for clearance. Wheels can be rotated front to rear.  

I have all receipts for this build and photos from the restoration available. I will encourage serious buyers to have a PRE- SALE private party inspection done if needed. I can make the car available at my shop and will provide a lift for undercar inspection. Inspection will be done at the buyers expense prior to auction end.
