Let me start out by saying. yes the original BFG Redline/White wall tires mounted on the original wheels and full wheel covers are included with the sale of the car. The car currently has 235/55X17" tires mounted on 17X7" Chrome 5 spoke Replica wheels.
This outstanding Thunderbird was originally purchased on 03/10/65 at W. A. Cropper Ford in Corona. California by Major Donald Dean Ross. The plates you see on the car are the original plates issued to Major Ross when he registered it in 1965. and remained in the Ross family until I purchased it in February 2016 from Major Ross's son who inherited the car. Included with the purchase of the car was a binder full of documentation including: The original window sticker. The original hand written sales contract. The original typed sales contract. The original owners manual with warranty card. most of the registration renewal receipts. and all  service work receipts performed on the car. which of course will come with the car. Also included is a CD of some of the restoration.
In 2002 Mr. Ross had the car shipped from California to his home in central Kentucky and between 2002 and 2008 had the car restored which included rebuilding of the original engine. and transmission. The AC system was rebuilt and blows cold. The complete brake system was rebuilt. The body was stripped of all removable parts and repainted the original Wimbledon White. Being an original California car the body required no rust repair. so it retains all it's original body panels and floors. The bumpers and all other chrome trim were re-plated also. The paint finish and chrome are beautiful.  All the weather stripping was also replaced including front windshield. rear window. doors. and trunk lid weather stripping. Also the front windshield was replaced. It has all new exhaust. and new gas tank. I was told by Mr. Ross when I purchased the car that the interior is all original except the driver door panel and carpeting. which amazed me. because the Ivy Gold interior is flawless. which is a good indication how well this car was taken care of. He also stated to me that he had over 20K in the restoration. and that he had only driven the car 1100 miles since the restoration.  Since I have owned the car. I replaced the turn signal sequencer with the much simpler new style all electronic unit. I also replaced the original voltage regulator with new transistor style due to the points sticking on the original. I re used the original Ford cover so it still looks like the factory part.
I am not a dealer. I am a 71 year old appreciator of vintage and collector cars of all makes and types. I have bought. sold. repaired. restored. and just enjoyed cars since I bought my first car at age 15. I have had them all from Falcons to Tri 5 Chevys. Shelby Mustangs. and vintage Corvettes. and feel quite knowledgeable and able to recognize a fine no excuse car when I see it. and believe me this Thunderbird is one of the best. You really have to see this car in person to fully appreciate it. Buying a dry western car that has never been exposed to corrosive snow and ice melting chemicals is the only way to go. All the rust and corrosion is simply not there on these cars.
Yes. you can buy mid 60's dealer flip fodder Thunderbirds for less than my reserve price on this car. but it simply won't be a car of this caliber period. plus with all the documentation this car is a piece of history.
You may ask: why am I selling? The simple truth is I enjoy searching out these type cars probably more than owning them. and have discovered at my age and owning other cars that the upkeep on this type car is more than I wish to continue doing.
To sum it up: This car is in showroom condition. It can be shown as it is at any car show. It is also a car you can drive anywhere in style. I would describe it as a luxury muscle car with it's 300 HP 390 engine. It has always attracted favorable comments and conversations in local shows I have taken it to this past summer.
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask. If you are close enough I encourage you to personally come inspect and drive the car. It drives like a dream. This car like most others on E-bay is being sold as I see it. and in AS IS condition and no part of the description should be taken as any type of guaranty or warranty whatsoever. Please check my feedbacks as I believe they back up my honest descriptions. Zero feedback bidders must call me @ 502-839-8556 before bidding or I will remove your bid. and block you from bidding.  I must receive a non refundable $500. 00 pay pal deposit within 24 hrs. from end of listing. with balance preferably received thru money wire transfer within 5 days from end of listing. Any other type payment needs to be cleared by my bank before car and title are released. Loading and shipping is the responsibility of the buyer and should be completed within 2 weeks from purchase
A note about the pictures: The Red showing on the front cross member in the front under body photo is a reflection from my Red shirt which you can also see on the lower front bumper photo.
