It turns a ton of heads and can even impress a judge or two with its original power plant under the hood.


We already know you want this because there's just something extra cool about a woodie coupe. That's especially true when the custom fresh lumber is applied to the cool slope back design (we know it's not factory. but it still looks awesome). But even beyond the timber. the burgundy paint has such a nice luster that shines evenly with the lacquer in the wood. The big bold front end is intact right down to the Mayflower hood ornament. Plus. the chrome bumpers are so big they look like they could push a train. This classic Plymouth is not trying to be a hot rod. and so there is a refreshingly honest impression that you see in everything from the factory hubcaps to the big round roofline. Even all that flowing stainless trim on this DeLuxe model has not been altered.


The tasteful interior is pure post-war comfort. like the warm glow of a Victrola and the smell of mom's cooking in the kitchen. The beige cloth upholstery has that same feeling. and there's plenty of room for six inside this coupe. It wears its age with pride by showing off how durable Plymouth made their products 65+ years ago. That's why you get the original three-spoke steering wheel with three-on-the-tree easy shifting. All the instruments are fully functional. as well as the AM radio. The under dash heater is even there for those extra early morning drives to the car shows.


With a coupe that's looked this classically authentic so far. it's a delight to find the original 218 cubic-inch six-cylinder under the hood. The engine bay is tidy and quite authentic. showing original parts including the oil bath air cleaner. The motor fires up easily just as a trusty Plymouth should. and it has that wonderful mechanical sound that's sadly absent from our cars today. Good gearing and plenty of torque makes it peppy around town. and Plymouth cars really did ride much better than many of its rivals. The total package has the kind of reliability and comfort that gives this coupe usefulness beyond just a Sunday driver.

Streetside Classic Cars reserves the right to end its auctions early or to cancel bids solely at its discretion and shall not be held liable for any such cancellation. All international purchases must be paid by bank wire transfer in US Dollar funds only.

Once we have received the funds. we will prepare the car for international shipment through one of our approved land and ocean carriers. We file all the necessary documents for export. deliver the car to a US port. secure it in containers and board an ocean carrier. We can land a vehicle to any port worldwide handling container traffic. We export cars regularly and are familiar with export requirements. You. or your agent. are responsible for Custom clearing the vehicle and registration in your own country.
