BMW E39 M5

For sale is my 2002 BMW E39 M5. I have owned the car for 4 years now and she has been a joy to own and drive the entire time. I have a work vehicle. so I have only covered around 1400 miles per year. bringing the mileage to 111000. it will stay at this as I'm not driving it as of now. The car is being sold as needing work as has a few issues that I do not have the time or money to invest as a new baby is imminent! I will try to be as honest as I can so I get no time wasters or give false info. Ok. here goes;Good bits;2002 model with facelift. newer lights. steering wheel. brushed aluminium interior trim. double glazed windows. full black leather. all adjustments work. widescreen sat nav screen. all the extras are there you would expect from the later model
Brand new vredestein ultac vorti tyres fitted (£600) all round on standard 18" M5 rims. covered about 60 miles since fitted. wheels are very clean in gunmetal grey. look fantastic on the car
Cat back stainless tubi flow exhaust system fitted at a cost of £1800 (receipts to show this). sounds awesome at any rpm. not too loud. unless you want it to be!
111000 Miles with good service history. low mileage really for these

Bad bits;Front wing drivers side has a dent from a car park knock. no paint missing. but dented all the same. Other age related marks on car. as to be expected as she's 14 years old
Sat nav stack system was removed to fix broken plug in the boot but was never put back. I have the entire system and just needs refitting. not something I can do. so haven't bothered.
Bonnet needs respray as the primer has deteriorated and looks like lots of small scratches all over. ant see when wet. but obvious when dry.
Engine has a tick on start up and again when warm. have been told by local BMW specialists as possible timing chain tensioner needs replacing. Engine starts perfect every time and pulls like a train. no issues with its power. always puts a smile on your face. gearbox is good. as is clutch. all works as it should. like I said. drives fine but the ticking noise means I'm forced to sell as project/spares repair. It really isn't that though. as will drive away and may cause no problems. but I have to be honest!
This car really has been incredible to own and with some time and money. she will be back on top form. I have not got either of these luxury's as new baby is top of my list now. These cars make a fortune in parts. look on various sites and you'll see for yourself. but she is FAR too good to break. If I don't get asking price. I will break eventually and go down that route but want to see her go as a complete car. on the road.
