Simply incredible and wonderfully creative. this amazing street rod comes to you from a stable of several other notable and award winning vehicles. This builder strives to build truly "one of kind" works of functional automotive art from non traditional classics. Bob literally makes it a mission to do what others said could not be done. For example. when is the last time you saw LED tail-lights hidden within exhaust tips. Now let's get buzzed.

This "Super Wasp" made it's 1st landing at the 2010 SEMA Show "Specialty Equipment Market Association" within the prestigious "House of Colors" booth winning the 2010 "Mothers Choice-Shine Award". At the 2011 Ponoma "Grand National Roadster Show" it swooped in and stung the competition with "Best Truck. Best Custom and Best Paint" and later went on to buzz the crowd as the "Feature Vehicle" at the Super Nationals. After 3 years. countless hours of ingenious body modifications. superior craftsmanship and layers of lickable color. it’s always nice to get noticed :-). Drool towel?

Hundreds of body modification's. all performed in steel and yes. no fiberglass body parts were utilized (see photo build book). All body panels were welded into a unitized construction - only the doors. hood & tailgate are removable.

Front end mod's include front bumper narrowed and re-arked. Grille (one of a kind CNC machined from billet alum). Hand made hood molding Hood pie cut (1 ½” in front) and nose laid back. hood opens back to front with electric actuators. unique twin tunnel entry to shotgun blower scoop. hood center peaked over entire length. front fenders extended with headlights frenched. top of fenders peaked at front dissipating after center and that's only the nose. Lets catch our breath and carry on.

 

The Cab was lengthened 7” to accommodate coupe doors. wheel openings (4) radiused. Windshield posts laid back 15°. Top chopped 1 ½” w/Roof center peaked to match fenders. Windshield installed from rear (urethane) with no gasket. All four lower fender edges and wheel openings reinforced with 3/8” cold rolled steel. All four fenders have rock guard panels inside behind wheels. Hand made running boards have outer edge reinforced with solid steel. Bed rails enclosed on bottom. Rear fenders mirrored inside bed. HUDSON embossed name plate added to new tailgate. Hand formed roll pan. Rear license plate retracts with key off. Tail lights hidden inside exhaust tips and African elm and black ebony bed floor raises for viewing frame and rear differential.

 

Peeking out of the hand sculpted hood is a very sting capable 500 cubic inch  Big Block Chevy buzzed with a 871 BDS Blower fed by Hilborn Shotgun Injection. Chevy 4-L80E transmission. Gear Vender Overdrive. and Speedway quick change rear differential. All engine compartment panels were hand fabricated. smoothed firewall. smooth inner wheel well skirts. radiator/shell/fan shroud combo installed from bottom. all wiring and plumbing hidden. one of a kind billet fan mount patterned after wheels. one of a kind billet accessory mount for a/c. power steering pump etc. custom valve covers. engine/trans oil coolers and 3” polished stainless exhaust. All of this rolling on a custom TCI frame and suspension (four link rear) featuring Air Ride system with twin compressors. Wilwood 4 Wheel Disc Brakes. polished stainless gas tank. polished stainless fluid lines and much more.

 

Now. let’s climb into the cockpit of creativity and become part of the hive. Features all steel hand made dash. door panels and seat surround blended for ‘cockpit feel’. gauges angled to driver’s eye. LED strip under top lip illuminates dash. bottom of dash enclosed. 14 ½” cut down steering wheel. 4 way power seats. upholstery and headliner custom dyed to match paint and hand made rear view mirror complimented by a hanging wasp nest.
