Up for auction is a 1986 Ferrari 328 GTS.    It is Red with Tan interior. It is powered by a 3. 2L V8 engine.   It has 88. 00 miles on it.    I have owned this car since 2006 and have always taken great care of it.   I always drive it with great care and it has never been driven hard in my ownership.  328s are known for being the most reliable Ferraris and one of the most beautiful designs of any car.   If you are looking at this I assume you know all of the specs of the 328. horsepower. production figures etc.   If not feel free to ask me and I will provide them to you.

Listed below are specific details about this particular Ferrari 328.   Read and enjoy.

Condition of the interior:   The interior is in average condition for a vehicle of this age.   It has been redyed but looks nice and presentable.   The driver's seat has some wear on the bolster.   Passenger's seat is in excellent overall condition.     The carpets are in good condition also.   This is a non-smoker car.

The dash is free of any cracks.   The steering wheel isn't cracked and the leather is still nice.   The targa top headliner is nice and is the original tweed type material.   The rear parcel shelf shows wear from storing the top back there.   All gauge crystals are nice and the center console is in good condition. Glass is all in good condition and free of cracks.

Condition of the exterior:   The paint is in very good condition and possibly the original paint.   I couldn't find any indications of a repaint but I am not 100% sure.   Paint has great shine and looks great.   Exhaust cover is in excellent condition.   It has a clear bra on the front of the car which I believe was made by 3M.

Mechanics of the car:

I went through the car and listed below are the items that need attention and the items that are working properly.

The turn signals. CD player. parking lights. power door locks work properly.  Both headlamps go up and down with no problems.   The low beams and brights work perfectly.

The windows are slow which is typical of a Ferrari of this vintage.   The The speedometer is stuck at 140 MPH.   The odometer works perfectly it is in the gauge itself and not the sending unit from what I can tell.

It has a brand new battery that is only a few weeks old.

The tires are in excellent condition with at least 50% tread life left.   The wheels are in excellent condition with no noticeable curb rash.

Both bonnets open and close properly.   The rear bonnet needs new struts.

The CD player is an Alpine and works well.

It always starts right up and drives great.   Transmission shifts perfectly through all of the gears.   Engine runs very smooth and has plenty of power.   It drives straight going down the road.   It doesn't pull to either side and brakes smoothly without pulling.   The engine makes a beautiful sound.   It revs freely and the steering is tight and true.   The suspension is firm and doesn't make any strange noises.

Some of the service work done in my ownership are as follows:  It has had all of the fluids changed. including oil and filter (Baldwin oil filters used in my ownership). coolant flush including replacement of radiator fan switch. various coolant hoses. tranny fluid changed and replaced with Redline Syn.  Gear Oil. Brake fluid flushed.   New plugs (NGKs). new spark plug extenders. distributor cap contacts cleaned. rotor cleaned all in excellent condition. water pump and alternator belt replaced. CIS fuel injection pressures checked. air filter replaced. timing belts and tensioner bearings replaced and cam timing set. fuel pump check valve replaced. emergency brake adjusted and works great. both headlamp buckets adjusted and come up to proper height. extra grounds on Dinoplex. new throttle cable. Water pump replaced in 2006. nbsp; Radiator fan replaced with high speed modern fan.    A/C compressor went out in 2007 and hasn't been replaced.   Brackets included but needs new compressor.   A/C system at the time was completely free of leaks and worked great.   I don't have the spare tire for it.    All parts were purchased from T. Rutlands. Ricambi or Ferr Parts.   Overall great running and driving 328.
