TRIUMPH SPITFIRE 1500 CONVERTIBLE 1980

Triumph spitfire 1500 in inca yellow first registered 26/3/80 and shows 73272 miles on the odometer. It has completed 2272 miles in the last 5 years

I have owned this car since 2011 and it has been in the south of France since then until now. It was shipped back to the UK for sale and can be viewed in Lancashire. As it has been in France it is not MOT'd. I have been using it in France and had the Control Techniques (French MOT) done here. I am still in France and can get it MOT'd as I have no doubt that it will pass without problems. It presently is on a SORN.

It has always been garaged and has only been used in dry weather. Hood is in reasonable condition with small tear at quarter window. It comes with the tonnou cover and hood cover. There is slight paint chipping at the driver's door closure (see photo). The boot floor is in good condition (see photo). It comes with manuals. a lot of historical documentation and with the original parts that I have replaced (e. g. SU carbs. manifold. air filter). It runs and sounds better with the Weber carb and twin exhaust pipes.

We drove it from Scotland to the south of France in 2011 in two days without a problem and have used it here as a fun summer car. I am selling it reluctantly as I have too many toys here. It is nota concourse car but it is a good. solid classic car with a sound engine and body. to have fun with.

Weber twin choke carburettor and multi-branch manifold

Radiator. top and bottom hoses and thermostat

Clutch master and slave cylinders and new piping

Alternator

Coil. distributer cap. leads. points and plugs

Aluminium rocker cover

Period Motorola radio with negative earth conversion and iPod connection

Oil and filter change 200 miles (approx. ) ago

Great car for age turns heads every time I drive but it's time to sell. garaged only used in dry weather”
