1970 Plymouth AAR Cuda

This vehicle is currently offered for sale by Ken's Klassics.   Ken's Klassics is a restoration facility located in Southwest Wisconsin.   We gladly accept the challenge of restoring a treasured classic. fine antique. muscle car or late-model collectable to it's former beauty.   With eight experienced craftsmen. we are small enough to give your work the same individual attention that you would yourself. but large enough to handle a dozen or more demanding restorations at one time.

Vehicle History:
The current owner purchased the vehicle from either the first or second owner on March 30th. 1992.   There is no record of the vehicle's mileage at that date.   The owner states that he only drove the vehicle a few thousand miles in the twenty-one years of ownership.

The vehicle was restored in its present condition prior to purchasing it in 1992.   Thus. the current owner did very little to the vehicle during his ownership.   The only pertinent receipt available is a receipt of November 14. 2011.   An automotive facility rebuilt the three carburetors. changed spark plugs. and did a general tune-up at a final price of $556. 09.

At the time of this tune-up. the odometer reading was 11. 55.   The current odometer reading is 11. 72.   Thus. only seventeen miles were driven in the past seventeen months.


Exterior and Sheetmetal
The previous owner removed the vinyl top and restored and repainted the car in the Lime Light color.    The two buildsheets verify that the original color was B5 Blue Fire Metallic.  

The floor pan appears to be original and very solid and it retains its original factory undercoating.   Both front fenders. both doors and trunk lid appears to be original and in solid condition.   The rear quarters may have been partially replaced.   The trunk floor and drop down panels appear to be original and in solid condition.

The paint and side decals all look extremely fresh and show no visible signs of age.


Engine Compartment
The engine. transmission. rear end and suspension all are believed to be original.   The numbers match.

The engine runs very good and sounds very tight.   The four speed transmission shifts very well and there are no known vibrations.   There is no “pulling” to one side or the other in the front suspension.

There seems to be some minor “play” in the steering.

Overall the engine compartment and suspension appear to be in very good driver condition cosmetically.   The exhaust manifolds have surface rust that could easily be removed by glass beadblasting and cast coating.


Interior
The bucket seats. carpet. door panels. headliner and dash are all in very good condition.   There are no visible tears or stains.


Tires and Wheels
The wheels are the original 15" x 7" Rallye wheels and trim rings.   The front tires are P245/60SR15 B. F. Goodrich Radial T/A while the rear tires are P255/60SR15.   All the rims. trim rings and tires are in excellent condition.


Documentation
The two original fender tags were removed and two reproductions were installed for safety purposes.

Two original Chrysler Corporation Car Production Broadcast Sheets were removed from the interior and are included in the sale.

A non-refundable $500 deposit is due within 2 days of auction end.   Balance due within 7 days after the auction end or upon pick up or delivery of the vehicle which ever falls first.   Payment must be made in cash or wire transfer.   Funds must be received in full in cash or bank to bank wire transfer receipt must be verified by our bank before the vehicle will be released.

Ken's Klassics has a 24 foot enclosed trailer.   Trailering and delivery may be negotiable and at the purchaser's expense.
