1965 Ford Mustang

Up for auction is our 1965 Ford Mustang coupe. It has a 1992 HO 5. 0 injected and computerized motor with 3. 00 miles on a complete rebuild. The computer is a after market made by Mega Squirt and is completely adjustable. The transmission is a Ford AOD overdrive with 3. 00 miles on a complete rebuild. The rear end is a open 8 inch with a 3. 00 gear. at 70 MPH it tachs around 1800 RPM. The car has 15x6 Torq-Thrust D wheels tires have 2500 miles on them. the spare is also a Torq-Thrust wheel. The jack is a restored original that has been powder coated.  It has 4 wheel disc brakes and power steering from a late model Granada. The exhaust has stock manifolds with stock style mufflers that goes all the way back to the rear bumper with factory turn downs. The body is painted Atomic Orange Metalic (Corvette). New sheet metal includes hood. front fenders. trunk lid. front and back bumpers and front and back aprons.  The interior has new headliner. carpet and  the rear seat was recovered in original material. the front seats are from a  2002 Ford Mustang with full power on the drivers side manual on the passenger side. It has a after market center console. The  dash is all Auto Meter ( the trip meter is bad and a new speedometer is included in the sale). I'm not happy with the temp gauge and a new one is included in the sale. Tha air conditioner a  factory under the dash unit that has been rebuilt. it has the newer style compressor with 134 Freon. It has a good sounding stereo it's  not a million dollar deal just a good sounding stereo with rear deck speakers and front kick panel speakers.  My son and I built this car for my wife and it ended up to nice to drive back and forth to work. so she just didn't drive it. There are a few things that need to be addressed. on one of it's previous back yard paint jobs the unqualified body man got a little wild with the DA and got into the rear window and the side windows. If it's to be a daily driver it's OK. but to show it they should  be replaced. and the side  and quarter windows all need to be adjusted. An lastly the front tires need to be rebalanced has a little vibration between 60 and 65 clears up a 70. The car really needs to be seen to be appreciated.  Good luck and thank you for looking.

I have added three current pictures of the car. These are as the car is now.   I failed to mention that this was a frame off rebuild. and that all front end parts are new.

I made a typing error the wheels are 14x6 not 15x6.

When we was building the car we also bought a complete carb system for it. It includes a new Holley 600 carb. anew aluminum high rise manifold. a new one wire HEI style distributor. and a new fiel regulator with the return port. For all you old school guys.
