Land Rover Series 3 Lightweight 1983

Sorry to all as I was out the country when the bidding was in its final moments otherwise I would have removed the reserve.

Here we have for sale a Land Rover Lightweight that is in top show condition.  
The story is I have had her for a long while in the family and now it is time for it to go to a new home that I hope will look after it as well as she deserves. Also I feel the need for a recce Land Rover in the coming.  
A little on the history- All the documentation is present including the following:
Previous owners- NONE :) Apart from our Great British Army and Navy (Marines) Yes they are sailors. This means my name is the only owner of the vehicle.  
Military ERM Report- Showing as you will know DIS and locations at where she served. including 40 Commando Royal Marines. 36 Signal Regiment and Aston Down upon exit from the military.  
British Heritage Certificate- Showing year and month of manufacture. date of dispatch and location of service delivery.  
The Land Rover is a crew cab and was designed around the show scene and as you can see there are a number of weird and wonderful rare items on board her. Also I have fabricated a lifting handle for the bonnet as these are very heavy when fully loaded. Everything has been done to the highest level and you will not find another. country of globally like this one.  
The vehicle also has a mount for a Bren on the rear (mount hand made) and the Bren will be included if required (including deactivation certificate). The reason for the Bren is that I pull my Mobat 120mm on the rear and it was used for sighting in the Mobat in the old old days.  
This vehicle does not go out in the rain and yes I can hear all you Landy lovers "screaming" at the computer screen but I feel some of these rovers need to be preserved to show future generations how to build a REAL vehicle and how to drive by the seat of your pants. and not get the bloody vehicle to park itself! What ever next. Mr Trump as US President. ! 
Nearly a full years MOT and the only point was a small exhaust hole which I have rectified with a new stainless steel exhaust system just for you !!!! 
She runs very well as just had her from York to Northampton with no issues.  
I would suggest that you view the land rover prior to serious bidding as then you can see for yourself the standard. She starts first time and runs like a dream.  
The Land Rover comes with a box of many engine parts (NOS pipes and such) and a spare set of leaf springs (one complete side). New front brakes complete have been fitted.  
I feel the reserve price represents the current market value and the fact that these vehicles are somewhat of a very under rated model and a lot better than some series ones out there for rocket ship prices. Its rather simple though. if you think the price is too high then just bid on something else that may be to your taste but thank you very much for taking time to read this and I hope you find what you are looking for soon.  
As normal this is a 33 year old vehicle so if you have not owned a Land Rover before please do not expect the comfort of a BMW. he speed of a Porsche or pin point directional driving of a formula one car. just so you know :)
The only things that I still require are the two under seat plates for the middle and passenger seats. These were ordered but I think they are coming form the moon. If not here at sale end then I will refund the cost to buy two more.
