1996 Ford F350. XLT trim. Crew Cab. 4-Wheel Drive. Dual Rear Wheel. Kenne Bell Super Charged 460. 5-speed manual.

Power windows. power locks. cruise control. tilt wheel. power lumbar seat adjustment. AC works great. Trailer tow package with front/rear sway bars. Alcoa aluminum rims (inner rears are steel). Manual front axle locking hubs. 4. 10 gears.

Tons of aftermarket performance additions:

Kenne Bell Supercharger Kit. They didn't make more than a handful of these kits for the 460. This could be the only one in use right now. An option with the kit was a cone air filter that is integrated into the factory cold air intake system. I have seen a couple of Ford 460s with the Vortech Superchargers; however. I don't believe they make anywhere near the low RPM boost/power of a Kenne Bell. The entire driving dynamics of the truck are changed. Boost comes in right off idle and it gets between 5-8 lbs of boost. The power band is from 1000-4500 RPM which is ideal for everyday driving or towing. The exhaust is not loud. There is a bit of a typical wine from the supercharger. It has impressive performance for a truck of this size.     

The batch fire speed density fuel injection system was replaced with a sequential mass air setup. An Interactive Systems Technology (IST) conversion wiring harness was used with a Mustang C3W computer. 4” mass air housing. honey comb air straightener. and the new style slot sensor. The system is tuned using an add-on Moates Quarterhorse chip and Binary Editor software. The chip and cable are included with the truck but not the licensed software. The tune is well dialed in. The Binary Editor software is available from Moates if the next owner wanted to try to optimize the tune even further.

Banks PowerPack Kit – Stainless steel torque tube headers. 3" exhaust. and muffler. Manifold air injection and EGR are retained and working. The rare Kenne Bell air cleaner was used instead of the Banks setup.

Gauges -- Wide band O2 digital display. Autometer boost and fuel pressure pillar gauges

Ignition add-ons – MSD products - 6A ignition controller. Boost Timing Master. Boost-A-Pump. and coil. Adjustment dials for timing and fuel pump boost are on the dash.  Taylor 8mm spiral ignition cables

7-pin wiring connector on the rear bumper and also in the front driver's side bed.

Condition:

Body is in very good condition. All original paint that has never been touched up. About 90-95% of the paint is excellent. The clear coat has flaked off the top of the fiberglass rear fenders. sun visor and a few spots on top of the tail gate. There are a couple of areas of stained paint below the gas filler doors and above the rear wheels. The passenger side rear fender has a small crack about 2” long at the very bottom and each fender has a 1" cut where the inner splash shield has wore a hole. There are small spots in front and back at the very bottom of the rear fenders where the paint has chipped. The bed is in nice shape but has a few minor dents. scraps. and areas where the paint has come off. The XLT plastic chrome trim strip was removed. There are a couple of spots where I missed removing the old glue. I have the very hard to find replacement XLT trim but I kind of liked the way it looks now.  Overall. it is a great looking truck.

Interior is good. The dash in the center has about a 4” crack with a few smaller cracks. These could be covered with an add-on dash pad. The upholstery is good with no rips. Overall interior is nice with a few areas of minor wear.     

Rear tires are new. Fronts are at about 50% with even wear. All are stock size 235/85-16 Load Range E. Cooper tires.

All in dash engine/brake warning lights work and are not illuminated after startup

Passes Utah vehicle safety and emissions inspection. The truck is OBDI so a visual inspection of the emission control equipment is required with a tail pipe sampling of emissions at idle and 2500 RPM in order to pass.

The original clutch was changed about 2000 miles ago. It was in great condition but the throw out bearing failed so the clutch. pressure plate. and pilot bearing were replaced with LUK parts while it was apart.

Synthetic oil always used in the engine and axles. It does not smoke or use oil. The engine runs very smooth and quiet and holds a steady 14-15” of vacuum at idle. The 460 is one of Fords best engines. 300K miles with no rebuild is not unusual. The tune is well dialed in.

This has been our family truck for 15 years with excellent maintenance. I never thought I would sell it. The truck has been a hobby of mine but I'm getting ready to retire and my vehicle needs have changed. I've used the truck as an occasional commuter and for towing a light 3000 lb boat or to haul a 2500 lb slide in truck camper. I recently took an 800 mile trip with both the camper and boat. The truck ran flawless.

This is truly a one of a kind truck with surprising performance. It is not a show truck but it is nice enough to get comments at the boat ramp and campgrounds but not so nice as to be afraid to use it as real truck for hauling and carrying stuff or even for daily use. The pics are a good representation of the condition and how well it was cared for.
