2015 Corvette Stingray Coupe – practically new condition

Description.   This is a great deal on a 3LT 2015 Corvette Stingray Coupe w/ Z51 appearance package for sale by owner.   The car is in nearly new condition - better than new in many ways:  To protect the paint from damage due to rocks or other road debris. I had the premium clear Xpel protector ($1. 00) installed over the entire nose of the car. on the lower sides (front and behind the rear wheels). on the rear view mirrors and along both door edges.   I couldn't find any paint flaws and the interior looks as good as the exterior.   I also had a professional to install the “Curb Alert” product under the front bumper (to assist in avoiding front bumper damage) and it works great ($500 with labor).   The carpet mats are unused and in new condition since I replaced them with WeatherTech all-weather mats the day after I bought the car (these mats are included in the auction).  I added the GM blackout badge and lettering kit (the front/rear flags are trimmed in black and “Corvette” is spelled in black as opposed to the original factory chrome that came on the car - $250).   I also replaced the chrome lug nuts with high quality. polished black ones ($175).   Also. I've used blackout tape on the side/rear reflectors and on the chrome strip on the grill.   The reflectors are still functional but not as bright as the factory look.   You can remove the blackout tape easily if you don't want it.   The car has no chrome showing anywhere.   I had top-of-the-line window tinting professionally installed on all side windows but I didn't tint the windshield and rear glass ($300).   The tinting is perfect but is easily removed by a pro if you don't want it.   The car has been wired for a radar detector (but no radar detector is included in this auction - $150).   I installed two door sill plate protectors so the original metal plate underneath is in pristine condition.  No modifications were made to the engine. transmission or suspension – “if it ain't broke. don't fix it. ”  Besides. it would've probably voided the warranty.

Bottom line. the car is really sharp and ready for business  - as you can see from the photos.   I can't tell you how many compliments I've received on it.

Also. if you've ever ridden in a Corvette (or any other true sports car). you know that. depending on the quality of the road. the road noise can dampen conversation at times.   I chose to have some noise dampening material professionally installed under the carpet in the rear hatch area (the “trunk” area).   It can't be seen and it cut the noise level in half as measured by a sound meter – that was good enough for me.

The car has not been tracked or wrecked.   No one has smoked in the car either.   It's been garaged and has been driven in the rain only two times that I can recall.   It comes with a genuine Corvette battery tender and privacy netting for the cargo area. If you do the BIN. I'll throw in a genuine GM indoor/outdoor car cover that originally cost me over $300 – truly the highest quality car cover I've ever seen – stretchy and it fits like a glove.   It's black with the Chevy Stingray print on the sides and the Chevy flag emblems on the front and back.   Again. you get the car cover ONLY if you use Buy It Now.

The entire drivetrain is factory original and the car is under warranty from GM . . . 3 years/36. 00 miles and 5 years/100. 00 miles on the powertrain.  Currently. it has less than 14. 5k miles on it and probably 80% of the driving has been highway miles (I mainly drove it back and forth to visit my mom in the eastern part of the state. I-40 and Hwy 421).  The car still has the factory original summer high performance tires which have about 9. 00 miles on them because I switched out to all-season tires (not included in this auction) in late Fall each year.   Since most of the driving was highway miles. there's still plenty of tread.

The only flaws on the car that I've been able to find are: 1) two small scratches on the removable top (the removable top is a dark. hard plastic material. not paint) – see the photos with white arrows pointing to them. Even with me pointing them out. they're hard to see because the hard plastic is the same color all the way through.   They're barely noticeable unless you're looking for them. and; 2) some light scuff marks on the inside of the driver's door (at the bottom where you pull your feet into the car).   As much as I tried to avoid letting my shoes hit the door as I got in and out of the car. it did happen a few times. and;  3) very. very fine scratches on the wheels due to brake dust and washing (happens to all the factory wheels since they're painted) - it's definitely not something that draws attention.   That's it.   I wanted to mention these things since I'd want to know about any/all issues the car had if I were the buyer – that's the reason I have 100% positive feedback.   I'm honest.   The seats and other leather in the car look great.   There's no curb rash on any of the wheels.   The car just passed inspection last month and all service is up-to-date.

Including the Xpel paint protector. blackout kit. curb alert. professional window tinting. sound deadening and radar detector wiring. I have around $80. 00 in the car (remember that it's a 3LT. Corvette's “loaded” package) so the Buy it Now price is fair – but the reserve is even less.  Bid.  You may be surprised.

I've sold two cars and two motorcycles on eBay over the past 16 years and still have 100% satisfaction so bid with confidence.   It's a hell of a car but the wife wants a new house so. the car has to go.

Test Driving the Car

If you have a valid driver's license. then you're more than welcome to come and test drive the car as long as I'm in the passenger seat – no exceptions.   All I ask is this . . . if you drive it and you like it. I'll expect you to make a good faith effort to buy it - so serious inquiries only.

The Title

The title is held by Suntrust Bank (I financed the car through them).   If you are the winning bidder for this car. I'll contact Suntrust and provide them with your name and contact information and tell them to expect a call from you (or from your bank).   You will pay Suntrust directly and they will send the title to you (or to your bank).

Payment.   The winning bidder must pay a $500 non-refundable deposit immediately after auction close and the balance in-full within seven (7) days of auction close.   I recommend that you pay the deposit by Paypal because it is immediate but using Paypal is optional.  If you choose not to use Paypal. then you must pay the deposit by cash or certified bank check within 24 hours of auction close.   After the deposit has been paid. the balance owed must be paid in cash or by bank certified check within 7 calendar days of auction close.   Paypal will NOT be accepted for anything other than the $500 deposit.   It probably goes without saying but payment-in-full must be made before you can take possession of the car – no exceptions.

Cash Payment procedure -  For safety purposes. if you are the winning bidder and you plan to pay by cash. please plan to do so during normal banking hours since I will require the transaction to take place at a Suntrust Bank in my area.   If you pay the balance owed in the form of cash. of course you can take the car the day you pay.   However. and while it should go without saying . . . a check isn't cash.   If you pay with any kind of check. authentication of that check must be confirmed by me before you get the keyfobs.

Bank Certified Check procedure - if you pay by bank certified check (must be from a major U. S. bank). you cannot take possession of the car until the check can be verified as authentic.   Authentication could take minutes or even hours – so be forewarned – just depends on the bank as to how long it will take for me to authenticate.   If you pay by certified check on a Saturday. Sunday or bank holiday. don't plan to take possession of the car until the next business day since I probably will not be able to authenticate the check until the bank opens.   If this doesn't work for you. let me know BEFORE you bid to see if we can work out other arrangements.

Regardless of the payment method you choose. I must be able to verify that payment has been received by Suntrust before I can allow you to take the car.

Shipment.   Preferably. you'll drive the car away.   If you bring your own trailer or truck to haul it. you'll need a long ramp else the front bumper may scrub as you drive it onto the trailer (the ground-to-bumper clearance is factory low).   Alternatively. you can arrange to have a professional transporter haul the car to you – just be sure that they have a long ramp.   I will not make arrangements to have the car hauled for you but Ebay can provide you with a list of reputable transporters or you can find one online.   If you have the car transported. you may certainly have someone come look the car over and maybe take some photos if you're not available to see it in person.   I cannot be responsible for any damage that occurs to the vehicle after I give you (or the transporter) the keyfobs; therefore. the car is being sold “as-is. where is” but keep in mind that it still has plenty of factory warranty remaining if you have any issues.   Again. nbsp;you are welcome to come test drive the car and look it over if you wish.

Good Luck!

BONUS:  Use Buy It Now and I'll also throw in a set of Continental Extreme Contact tires that I used from late Fall to early Spring the past two years.  They have around 5. 00 miles on them.  The BIN also gets you the genuine GM indoor/outdoor car cover that cost me around $300.  Again. you get the tires and car cover ONLY if you win with Buy It Now.
