1961 Buick Skylark 2 door coupe

£5. 50 or may consider PX/swap (under ebay rules) for SN95 Mustang. maybe a foxbody or 3rd gen Camaro/Firebird or something else. W. H. Y. ?

Buick only made 12. 83 Skylarks in 1961 and it's rare even in the US now. possibly the only one in the UK. ? Been in the UK since new. was dry stored for 20 odd years so in very good solid overall condition. Nice compact cruiser for a yank at only 4. 9 m (16 ft) long and 1. 78 m (5. 85 ft) wide. One very cool car and I have never driven anything that turns as many heads as this! Nobody knows what it is too which seems to make them even more interested.

Recent paint job in proper satin black (not a rattle can job. it looks great) along with a gloss green roof which has been airbrushed round the front and sides with a swirl effect along with some green pinstriping on the hood. trunk lid and along each side.

Rover 3. 5 V8 (Land Rover unit. mileage unknown but running strong and healthy) with an Edelbrock 500 on it which is far better than SUs and suits the engine very well.

Wheels are early "BOYDS" Billet "Rod Sport" from around 1990 and are very rare. plus look awesome and suit the car perfectly I think.

Other features & stuff: custom made 1 piece front grille; new battery; Rear lap belts; power steering; electric cooling fan with manual switch; "Alloy Racing Fabrications" 12 gallon twin baffled fuel cell (mounted in trunk); drum brakes all round have been fully overhauled and it stops well; no carpets but that doesn't bother me (and you can see the floors are in good shape); interior is reasonably tidy considering the age. seats are in good shape as are headlining and door cards. dash a little cracked in places but nothing major and looks presentable; the keen eyed (like me) will notice the 3rd gen Firebird steering wheel which. although is totally out of place I really like the look of against the dash.

Gearbox needs changed. but I have a replacement so just needs fitting which I intend to have done (price will go up if it's fitted). Apart from that. adjust the handbrake cable. replace worn driver's window cog and you should be good to go!

Will need to be trailered at the moment but I will update if/when the gearbox is in.
