1972 Porsche 914 for sale

Current customer rating: current rating for this car(2.1) based on 244 votes
Up for sale is a super solid. rust free 1972 Porsche 914 coupe with a great running 1. 7L and 5 speed trans. This is an early 1972 production car. with a production number of 00779.
Exterior:The car is super solid underneath and does not have any rust issues in the floor pans. trunk area. etc. The paint is older driver quality and has some checking. a couple of tiny bubbles in the paint. some small scratches and dings here and there but in good shape overall for a driver. There is no evidence of the car ever having been in any sort of major accident.  The 15" Riviera wheels are in great shape and the Bridgestone 185/65/15" tires are all in really good shape as well. The trim is showing some light scratches and dings but it all there. The removable top is in good shape and latches on and off easily. All of the head lights. tail lights. brake lights and turn signals work correctly.  The front and rear bumpers both each have one small dent in them. Interior:The interior is in good condition overall but each seat has one seam split on the bottom lower section.  The carpet is in decent shape but is showing some wear. The dash has some cracks and has a carpet cover over it. The wood steering wheel is in great shape. All of the gauges work correctly. The door panels are showing some wear but are not all beat up. Drivetrain:The engine is a 1970 model 1. 7L Flat 4 cylinder with the dual carbs that runs great. starts right up and has good power. The engine was supposedly rebuilt but I have no paperwork on the rebuild. I can say that it has very good power for a 1. 7L 4 cylinder. It has the original 5 speed manual transmission and the clutch feels great. The shifter feels a little sloppy but I have a new shifter bushing kit that will go with the car when sold. It does go into all of the gears easily and runs through the gears well. It has the original rear 4 lug transaxle as well. Suspension:All of the original suspension is in great shape and the car handles like an over-sized go kart.  The manual 4 wheel disc brakes work great and stop the car very well. The manual steering is very responsive and is very easy to steer the car. The car is listed for sale locally and I reserve the right to remove it from auction at any time. If you have any questions or would like to see more close up photos. please send me a message. shoot me a text or call me on my cell phone at (214)682-595o and I would be happy to talk and answer any questions I can.
