EQUIPMENT
Steel panelled body. separate restored galvanised chassis frame. forward hinged bonnet and doors. chrome bumpers. chrome headlamp surrounds. polycarbonate radiator grille with chrome top and bottom bars. safety glass. under bumper bib spoiler. flame retarded upholstery. expanded PVC. ventilated seat facings. thick pile carpet. door pockets. Triumph rubber heel mat. dark teak veneer dashboard and door cappings set. full minor instruments with upward pointing needles. heater/demister. padded sun visors. glove locker with interior lamp. two interior illumination lamps. tonneau and cockpit covers. Factory fitted options; Head restraints.

EXTERIOR
The clean-cut aggressive lines so unmistakably recognisable are accentuated in the original and stunning Magenta shade (Code 92). A mirror reflection leaves no doubt of the expenditure lavished on this rare UK CR model. Testimony to the quality of the exterior appearance are detailed photos of a nut and bolt restoration featuring a galvanised chassis. Featured at the NEC Classic Car show on the TR Register stand again places this example in an elite class. Excellent chrome. glass. lights. trim and badging complete the package. A small ding on the rear bumper and minor chips to the underside are signs of light use. The hood is complementary to the rest of the car. A fabulous show piece.

INTERIOR
Tremendous. The contoured seats are finished in black expanded P. V. C leather cloth trim (code 11). with ventilated facings and are original and undamaged. The thick pile black carpeting is protected by rubber Triumph overmats and the dark teak. veneer dashboard and door cappings are sublime. All the controls. gauges and stalks function correctly. The tonneau and full cockpit covers are in excellent condition and the boot area retains all the factory trim so slight markings can be seen. Period accessories are limited to an expensive Motalita steering wheel and Radiomobile stereo radio cassette with matching rear mounted speakers. A discreet Kenlow coolant fan switch has also been fitted. Even the most house proud will be won over with this Triumph cockpit.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
A Triumph of technical excellence best describes this smooth 6-cylinder marvel. First time TR6 owners and TR “aficianados” alike will gain assurance that a Kenlow coolant fan. electric fuel pump and rocker oil feed kit. (these three together are vital to ensure TR reliability and longevity - they overcome original specification issues) have been fitted. The original Lucus fuel injection system has a recalibrated metering unit and early profile camshaft boosting the BHP from the standard 125 BHP to nearer 150 BHP with added reliability enjoyment. To complete the package a ‘must have' full stainless steel sports exhaust has been fitted. with the labels still on the silencers. emitting spine tingling burble. A recent transmission and clutch overhaul at a cost of £2777. 36 in October 2010 at 95. 22 miles ensures faultless action. Standard overdrive on 4th and 5th gear works seamlessly.

WHEELS. TYRES & BRAKES
Immaculate and correct steel disc type wheels with bright finish polycarbonate hub trims and chromium plated dome nuts are shod in 195/65 R15 Firestone F560 tyres. The brakes are hydraulic divided with a direct acting servo giving positive stopping power.


HISTORY FILE
Registered new on the 17th April 1973. with this vehicle being the important revised CR series. CR designating petrol injection for the UK market rather than CF designating carburettors for the US market. A massive history file from specialists. plus a photo record documenting this cars restoration is vitally included. As an indication of condition. the history includes shots of the car on display at the NEC Classic Car Show. for the TR Register. the previous owner. The paperwork includes past tax discs from 1993 and MOT's right back to 1990. confirming a cosseted existence. gaining a minute 15. 00 miles in the last 21 years! There is also a record of previous owners. kindly provided by the TR Register archive. where it also featured in their “buyers guide”. Recent expenditure to maintain perfection amounts to £6000 by renowned TR gurus.
