Up for sale is a one of a kind f45. Started life as a stock 1977 fj45 that was converted to hj47 specs with a 2h diesel & 5spd from a 1988 hj60. As much as possible conversion was done with factory parts & a factory look was maintained with addition of all options. What makes it a relatively straight forward swap is that 2f & 2h frame motor mounts are the same. Truck features some very rare landcruiser options that either never came on 45's at all or only in limited applications. Factory power disc brakes. /s. /c. spd t/c handbrake. amp; maybe the most unique feature. 0-70 series cable lockers. Drivetrain has all new brgs & seals where required. ew brake & clutch hydraulics. New spring shackles & shocks. I believe springs are aftermarket. ruck sits 2" or so higher than stock?Interior features reupholstered seats & all new window & door seals. Rest of interior in excellent original shape. Even floormat is in great shape. Steering wheel is from an 80 series landcruiser. Way nicer to drive because of p/s. (approx. 2" smaller dia. )I do have original. asy swap. The entire body was stripped to bare metal. epaired & primered in epoxy. Color is oem beige. The box is virtually brand new. Only some floor braces. rt panel & headache rack are original. The rest of the panels are beautiful reproductions made in Canada by a real pro. The tailgate is a real work of art by this guy. Not cheap by any means!New factory fenders installed. ot sure if these are even available anymore. Brand new roof panel made by Gozzard in Canada. If you know 45's. he roof panel is notorious for hard to repair rust issues. This truck was assembled to be as rust free & durable as possible. Front bumper is new oem bumper & rear bumper is custom made to approximate look of front. I think pictures say it all about this truck. Now on to 2 things on truck not yet dealt with. The engine is a 2h 4. 0l diesel. It still runs strong but is definitely tired. It burns some oil & blows blue. specially cold & when at idle for a while. The up side is that it has rebuilt injectors & new 4 core rad. Plus everything is spotless clean. bviously would make recon. much easier. Reason engine is not done is that I've thought about installing a 12ht turbo motor but ran out of interest for now. (the ultimate 45!). Second issue with truck is transmission. T/C rebuilt but trans is very balky on 5-4 downshift but otherwise still smooth & quiet. Odd?Maybe needs new synchros?Right now I just don't have time for these issues so that is reflected in my reserve. Engine rebuild would run approx. $5000. or recon engine out of Oz approx. $2600. usd+frgt. I know what this truck is worth when engine & trans are dealt with. If truck doesn't sell. t goes into storage. I've tried to cover all bases but for sure missed many details. ust too much to list. Truck has been a labor love. ot to mention blood. weat &tears!LOL.
