I am currently looking to sell a number of cars from my collection. to raise some money for a new business venture later this year.

This left hand drive Porsche 356 C was offered for sale by the country's leading classic Porsche specialist back in 2010. I was not aware of this at the time. and actually purchased it directly from the company in Portugal that had bare-metal restored the car to its current concours condition.

Once I had purchased the car. I collected it from the specialist who had the car on consignment. They were of the view that it would win any concours competition this side of Pebble Beach!

The restoration company. Vintage Car Boutique. is well known. and specialises in 356s.

The car was originally exported from the factory to the USA. I don't know its history there. although there is some paperwork in the file. but prior to being re-imported into Europe. the car lived in California.
From the photographs you will see that the car has had a very comprehensive restoration using. I am told. original Porsche parts wherever possible. I have a disc with hundreds of images on detailing the entire restoration. should this be of interest.

The car comes with a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity that shows that it has been returned to its original colour combination of Bali Blue (6412A). with a red leatherette interior.

Also. as per the original factory specification. the car is equipped with optional headrests. updated Koni shock absorbers. and a baggage rack. The certificate indicates that the car was manufactured in December 1964.
The milometer  was clearly zero'd when it was restored. as it currently reads just 112kms. These miles were put on the car by Vintage Car Boutique. or the UK dealer. as it has barely turned a wheel since coming into my possession.

This was not my original intention. but too many toys and too little time have meant that I have not had much of an opportunity to drive it.

The car presents immaculately. as you would expect. The paintwork. interior. and engine bay are all finished to a standard that is at least equal to that of the car when it came out of the factory. In truth. it is almost certainly superior to the factory finish in most respects.

Obviously. the car is as pristine underneath as it is on top and inside.
Before sale. I would have the car MOT'd and serviced. The photographs do not show a registration number. but it has been registered in the UK. The registration number is CBU 471B.
Finally. in case it is of interest. a few words about me and my collection of cars.
I am not a dealer. I do not buy cars in order to sell them. In fact. this is only the second time in over 20years that I have ever sold a vehicle from my collection.

I am incredibly meticulous. although somewhat unfashionably I prefer condition to patina. All of my vehicles are therefore pretty much immaculate. and prepared to a concours standard.
When I bought this vehicle I had it thoroughly checked over and. since then. it has spent all of its time in a Carcoon in a storage facility situated between Horsham and Guildford.

If it had needed anything doing when I bought it. I would have had the work done; just for my piece of mind. But I found it impossible to spend money on it. I did buy an original and correct. wooden rimmed Nardi steering wheel. but never got around to fitting it.

The car is available to be viewed six days a week (Sundays can be arranged. if required).

I am happy for it to be inspected by an engineer of your choosing. and space can be made available for this purpose.

However. it cannot currently be driven on the road as it is Sorn'd and. in any case. I would not be happy for it to be taken out. given the mud. rain and salt on the roads at this time of year.

The price I am asking for the car is £75. 00. Given the condition of the vehicle. and the huge amount of work that went into the restoration. I believe this is a fair price. and I am not inviting offers.

To arrange to view the car. please email cpc4558@gmail. com.
The buyer is responsible for vehicle collection or delivery. Postage not included.
