1988 Porsche 944

This is a low mileage Porsche 944 with the normally aspirated (non turbo) engine. The car had been sitting for a while when we purchased and we took time to go through the car and get it in good running condition. New fuel filter. drained the bad fuel. ran some fuel injected cleaning. new plugs. new front brake rotors. etc. It is certainly not perfect. but its solid with no rust and fun to drive. There are still a few items that need to eventually be addressed. but its a good car to have fun with while you slowly fix the little items to make it really nice. First. according to Porsche. here are the list of options the car was ordered with:

M158 - Standard Radio (working after market unit installed now)
M220 - Locking Differential 40% (Limited Slip Diff - LSD)

The most desirable option that the car came with is the limited slip differential (posi-traction for you American car guys and gals). The car was also originally black. which you can see in various spots of the car. especially since the previous owner had it painted with a cheap paint job that isn't doing very good now. Looks good from about 30 feet. but not so good when you get close.

The Good:
Low Miles
Decent Radio. works well
New front brake rotors. new pads all the way around
Runs strong
electric windows work
fan motors work
heater works
Nice set of low mileage tires

The Bad
The paint is poor. It was roughly applied over the top of the original black paint. Its flaking in some spots.
The wiper motor is not working
The A/C is not currently blowing cold
The electric sun roof is not functioning
Seats are not horrible. but a few cracks on the old hardened leather
Rear latch on the hatch is disconnected. has to be operated from inside
rear black carpet is sun faded to "blue"
The "Brake Pad" light on the dash it lit because someone previously just cut the sensor wires on the brakes instead of hook them up to the new pads.

The car has good bones and is solid. I have tried to list all of its short comings so there are no surprises. It is just a simple good driving car with some good options for someone looking to have a fun project car. We feel the price is reasonable for a low mileage 944 with LSD.
