The last car of my collection being sold . Here is a lovely MGB GT . sports coupe.

History  . I bought this last year from my local classic MG dealership . it had been brought there to appraise and sell on behalf of a deceased estate. The car had last been on the road in 2006 then following the owners demise had been left in the garage at his home having been left to his wife. it never emerged again until she subsequently passed away last year . The solicitors contacted the garage to dispose of the car.

I fell in love with it and bought it . the car was recommisioned for the road . new brakes water pump. ervice oil and filter new battery . new rear flexis . exhaust saddles . wheels refurbished . all new hoses and various other bits and bobs were done and the car went straight through its mot.

I have used the car for pleasure only over the last year and had no issues at all . I have just re tested the car 16/08/16 straight through no advisorys.

The car was originally white and has been resprayed I would estimate approx. 15 to 20 years ago . the paint is holding up well and presents nicely its not concours obviously and has the odd little blemish here and there but overall looks fine it is shown as red in the registration document but I think the colour is somewhere between red and orange personally. The chromework is good overall the rear bumper has some speckling but is acceptable.

Under the bonnet is original but untidy . a good clean up would add value

sills . A posts and B posts sound .

Period radio fitted in car not working . not connected ? haven't investigated.

All electrics . heater etc working fine H4 halogen headlights work well.

slight tear to bolster on drivers seat . carpets quite worn but ok until new ones can be bought.

summary :- This is a very presentable (not immaculate) sound car in good running order . it is tax exempt which is a bonus and qualifies for very reasonable classic car insurance. it is a sound basis to drive and continue with ongoing restoration without spending an absolute fortune to purchase in the first place . improve as you can afford it.

Its a 4 speed non overdrive gearbox but I have an overdrive box available to purchaser if required for an extra £200 also have a spare engine which could be available extra if wanted .

The mileage is unwarranted but believed correct

the 3 owners are husband / wife and the dealer I bought from (realistically a 1 owner car)
