THESE ARE TWO CARS THAT I AM RELUCTANT TO SELL  BUT I DO NOT HAVE THE TIME TO START ANOTHER PROJECT. SO ANY BEST OFFER WILL BUY THE PAIR OR I WILL SPLIT IF THE PRICE IS RIGHT.

THE CDX WILL COME WITH A FULL YEARS MOT AT MY EXPENSE.

VAUXHALL CARLTON 2. 0 CDX & GSI 3. 0 24V

For Sale probably the best original Carlton 2. 0 CDX Auto. ever.

I bought this car to use the shell to restore my GSI 3. 0 24v. but as the weather was bad at the start of the year i have not finished my last project and dont have the time to start another. so i am selling both cars for someone else to decide what to do with them.

The CARLTON 2. 0 CDX is in outstanding condition with NO RUST on the Rear arches (see pics). Front top mounts or Rear chassis rails.

The Engine is sweet with no noise and the Automatic gearbox changes smoothly in fact apart from being very underpowered for a car of this size it drives very nice. the trim is in very good condition with no tears or cigarette smoke on the headlining. The sunroof works fine as do all the electric windows. The Alloy wheels are in excellent condition.

Now the bad points. there is a small trolley dent in the rear wing. the electric ariel has been bent at some time and wont retract fully. and the drivers rear door will not always lock/unlock. nbsp;also the starter motor needs a new solenoid as its tempremental. will not always start first time but easily cured with a jumper wire (supplied). The Road Tax has expired and it is currently on a SORN.

The CARLTON 3. 0 24V is a total restoration job. nbsp;it REQUIRES welding to the Rear Chassis rails also the Rear arches and both sills (i have listed the repair panels elsewhere on Ebay) also when it was in storage someone decided they wanted the Car trailer that was parked behind it and the only way to get it out was to drag it over the top of the car. so as a consequence it requires a Front screen (cracked) Rear screen (missing) Replacment Bonnet and repairs to the roof. the sunroof did not get scratched (amazingly).

Well apart from that I drove this car up until i parked it in storage 5 years ago it now wont start. probably fuel related.   It has the Digital Dashboard which still worked when i connected up a Battery and the engine turns over. It has the Original 5 speed Manual Gearbox and Limited Slip Rear Differential. also Half leather Grey Recaro seats that need cleaning but are in good condition as are all the door cards and carpets.

In case your wondering about the Auto/Manual gearbox swap all the parts are interchangable just needs the Pedal boxes swapped over or if you can find an AUTO box from a Senator 3. 0 24v you can keep it Automatic. This Car will break for spare parts if you decide not to restore it and will earn you good money.

Now for all those people that did not read the listing properly the Carlton 2. 0 CDX can be Taxed and you can use it. however the 3. 0 GSI will need to be trailered away as it is a NON RUNNER.
