Here we have a very iconic car from the 80's. the Mercedes 190 2. 3-16 Cosworth.
If you were a fan of racing cars from this era you will know that Mercedes turned to renowned engine builder Cosworth to produce an engine that enabled Mercedes to compete in the Touring Car championships. to take on the BMW M3's etc. For this they had to produce a road going version. so we have the 2. 3-16 Cosworth.
They revised the engine. manufacturing a complete new cylinder head. with double camshafts. 16 valves etc. also changing the pistons for lighter. racing items etc. Further changes were made to the car. with a Limited Slip Diff. 5 Speed. racing ‘Dog Leg' gearbox. aerodynamic body kit etc etc.  
These cars are fantastic to drive. The engine is a delight. really likes to be revved. with a lovely power band. with a superb engine note. The gearbox is very precise. with the racing inspired. dog leg configuration. 1st is behind you. so that second through to fifth in s straight H pattern.
This car is in lovely condition. The bodywork is very straigh and solid. no noticable dings or dents. The interior is in excellent original condition. the lovely leather seats. unmarked carpets / door cards etc.
As you can see this car is featuring some newer alloys. but all five original alloys come with the car.
The last owner of this Mercedes enjoyed it for 10 years. He has a lovely collection of cars and has his own. impressive workshop. This car has always been stored inside during this time and has had an extensive program of going through the car to ensure all is ok. So recent work includes new brake lines. new brake calipers along with changing all the fluids etc. This car will be given a new MOT on sale.
These cars are a very rare sight on the roads and even at shows now. Good solid ones like this have been quickly rising in price recently. with many people thinking they maybe the next one to have.
