Well hello there and welcome to my auction! (If you saved this auction before please forgive me. there was a typo in the title and I just had to re-list it. )
I am selling my fabulous. amazing. and super fun. 1951 Crosley pickup.  There are only a few hundred of these left in the United States and this one is in wonderful condition.  It was lovingly restored and has been well cared for.
The Crosley line of cars and trucks. if you aren't familiar. were a great fuel efficient car and truck created in America in the late 1940's and continued production in the early 1950's.  In addition to getting amazing mileage (35-50 mpg) the Crosley was also the first car to use disc brakes! If you aren't familiar with The Crosley Company check out the Crosley Wikipedia page and learn about all the interesting and innovative inventions the owner Powel Crosley. Jr. created.
I just had all of the wiring redone. put in a new battery. two new tires. had a new gas tank and line installed. new brake shoes and drums. nd the engine cleaned and tuned up.  My mechanic loves to take care of it and the truck has been in and cared for professionally every 90 days since I purchased it. I've driven it to and from work several times a week and have parked it out front of my business as a promotional vehicle. The truck is in amazing shape!

This truck was named "Bing" by previous owners. who wrote his biography down while trying to sell him (check out the letter!).  This car was sold to me and is registered in CA as a 1951. was shown as a 1951. but somewhere in its autobiography was claimed to be a little older. The truck has had a few owners. and after falling into disrepair and left to rust in a backyard. Bing was salvaged by his previous owner and restored to his former glory.  The truck was such a find that it was featured in the Crosley Quarterly. /u> The official Crosley Magazine and its full restoration process was featured. There are great original features. such as the original radio (non-working) and amazing additions such as the custom pin striping. seat belts. and wood accents.  The carpeting is a newer addition and does cover some of the pin striping so I pulled it up to feature it as well. I've never seen a Crosley quite like this. in great shape. with style. and humor all rolled into one.
Additionally the truck was used and shown in many many shows and come with a TON of paraphernalia including:
- A custom platform to display Crosley radios in the truck bed- Framed articles from the Crosley quarterly featuring Bing as a restoration project- Photos of the truck in shows and parades. framed and unframed- The original sales letter telling the story of "Bing's" life and travels- Custom sign used in shows with the original owner's names and sales price ($898!!!!)- Old California black license plate- Custom license plate frame- Humorous vanity plate- Framed articles and advertisements of other Crosley products- Many spare parts and a tire pump- Truck cover- Framed photos of the Bing in competition- Many copies of the Crosley Quarterly- Crosley Manuals- Parts Exchange Guide- Oh. and lest we forget. a custom pair of Crosley emblem earrings
As far as I know. the last few projects on the truck are a windshield wiper blade pump which I never fixed because. A. I live in Southern California. and B. I have no intention of driving an old truck in the rain!Oh and the radio.  I've had it checked out and was told it was a simple repair but to have it done by a professional as it is an original Crosley radio.  There are also a few minor areas of paint chipping. Again. there is no rust. and should someone want to change the color. I did not want to do the touch up work.
Please ask as many questions as you like. and if you need more photos please let me know and I will send them along.  I have many more. but there are only so many that eBay lets you post.
The reserve price for the truck is very. very. fair considering all of the work. love. and history in this truck. There are are. nbsp;according to the Crosley Club. only a few hundred (under 300) of these trucks left and many are not in this sort of condition.
If you pay by cash or check I will happy to give a slight discount.
The truck is sold with no warranties and all odometer readings are impossible to prove.
I have loved this truck and so has everyone else who has owned it.  People wave as I drive and kids jump up and down when they see Bing coming down the street.  I know a new home is out there for him and I hope he finds it soon.
Thanks and happy bidding!
