We originally sold ‘FRW' to the current owner and were pleased to see her back!  We have carried out a comprehensive check-over following a period of little or no use. carrying out an interim service and rectifying a misfire and the cooling fan not working. also serviced the brakes and renewed the battery prior to a new MoT test (valid to 12 Sep 2017). in all some £800 worth of work.

This Spitfire starts immediately and revs nicely with no smoke.   She drives well. nice and responsive on the road with smooth gear change and slick overdrive.   The interior trim is in good condition and the hood is tight and undamaged and a hood cover (in tan) and black tonneau cover are with the car. so too a touring spares kit and bag with jack.

Cosmetically the paint is ‘fair' showing some blemishes and stone chips behind the front wheels and there is a small dent on the top of the front nearside wing.   The brightwork is good.   The original steel wheels would benefit from blasting and painting (we can quote for this if you so wish).

In summary. a car which is very original with comprehensive history and remaining a matching numbers car. even the under-bonnet has the original factory stickers attached!  Mechanically this A Spitfire 1500. complete with hard-top. which drives nicely and whilst corrosion free. could be further improved – very much your choice - offering affordable entry to fun. classic motoring!
