Here for sale is my cherished 1990 Range Rover Classic Vogue SE.

The vehicle came out the factory as a 3. 9EFI V8. however was profesionally converted in 1992 to a 200TDI engine in favour of fuel economy. Those who know a little about Land rover will know they intended to make a petrol version of the 200tdi. however as the performance of the diesel was so good they never bothered (it in fact out performed the 3. 9V8. and returned twice the MPG).

The milage on the car is 58. 00. and I have MOT's back to 2003 that back this up - in the last 13 years the car has only covered 30. 00 odd miles. I currently use this car to commute to work every week (I work away). and as such I will be putting on approx 300miles a week from the date of this listing. Having to rely on the car so heavily I have always maintained it. far more religiously than therecommended periods; oil change every 3000 miles and all filters every 6000 miles. Its last service was at 57000 miles.
One question people always ask me is how do I afford to run such a large car? And they are all amazed when I tell them she will return me 40+MPG on a motorway run every week (LRO magazine took one from John O'Groates to Lands End and averaged 52MPG in last months issue) and so isnt too bad on fuel. Tax is £235 for the year and insurance will depend on the individual.

If you've never had the privellage of owning one of these amazing vehicles before. I'll tell you now she wont win any 0-60 contests. however once she gets up to speed youll be amazed at how well she handles in the corners and how she absorbs any bumps in the road (It was marketed as a sports car when released as well as a family car and competent off-roader). The Engine has plenty of low end grunt. and a trailer will sit behind her no problem. On the rare occasion you see another classic range rover on the road you're sure to be greeted with a wave and a beaming smile. This example has the 4-light grill which is extremely rare. the last one I saw up for sale was in 2010 and went for about £300 on ebay - You cant get these any more.

Its a 5-speed lt77 gearbox coupled to a L230 transfer box. Low range is usually engaged on a weekly basis to make sure it doesnt stick etc. Over the past few years she has had a serious amount of work listed below:

New Front inner wings. Sills. and rear arches - cutting out all rusty metal. welding in new metal. and then protecting with Buzzweld RCP before being painted in colour coded paint so you can be sure it will last.
New front Turrets. complimented by new terrafirma dampers all round (Again I must emphasise the handling of this car is something special).
New Cambelt. Tensioner. Idler done 3000 miles ago.
New Airtex water pump. Bearmach Radiaitor. and thermostat done at the same time as cambelt. all the old coolant was replaced with new.
New Lucas Fuel lift pump
New exhaust - full system
New Copper brake pipes all round. with stainless steel braided flexi hoses.
Brand new front callipers
Brand new discs all round
Brand new Fuel tank
New Battery
New fanbelt (I also have a brand new Dayco belt for the altenator to give away with the sale. the one on there was too good to replace).
As mentioned previously. new engine oil and filters. but also had new diff and gearbox oil at about 53. 00 miles.
New front lights.
Tyres are in good condition.

As you can see theres been a vast amount of money and time spent on this vehicle. I've probably missed a few items off. Ive always bought proper OEM or Landrover approved parts for this vehicle. not cheap aftermarket parts.

Aircon pump is missing. however it has a fully working sunroof (although the blind is missing)
Headlining is in good condition for age. all original.
The paint is the original paint that it left the factory in. over the years it has had a few minor dings and scratches however. how much this bothers you will obviously depend on how much of a perfectionist you are.
Mechanically there is nothing wrong with the vehicle however. runs as it should and the chassis and body are all sloid. including the tailgate which are prone for rotting.

Just had 12months MOT.

I am limited by the number of pictures I can put on ebay; I would reccomned you come and view the car for yourself. however I can email you as many pictures as you require upon request.
I've probably missed out a lot of things so please dont hesitate to message or call me with any questions; either on ebay or my mob 07548959362.

I live in Mid-Wales. just outside Aberystwyth. but as mentioned earlier I work away in Hinckley. Leicstershire. Therefore I am happy to arrange viewings in either location (Hinckley weekdays only and Aberystwyth Weekends only). If you want to buy I am happy to meet in any train station along the way (Birmingham. Wolverhampton. Shrewsbury. Welshpool etc. ) for a pre-arranged fee. which I will deduct from the price of the vehicle (sorry if this causes inconvenience but had people not show in the past. waisting my time and fuel in getting to these locations).

£6000 ONO. I'm not interested in swaps or P/X's.

Viewings welcome. I can take you for a drive in her; if you want to test drive youyrself I will either need proof of fully comprehensive insurance or the money in my hand first.

Thank you for your time.
