TRIUMPH TR7 V8 4. 0 Litre

Grinnal Conversion

Engine Spec: Thick wall block. Big Valves' Stage 1 gas flowed heads. /strong>101 camshaft. /strong>Dual valve springs. Bronze valve inserts (for lead free petrol). Holley 390 4 barrel carb with Offenhauser inlet manifold. extractor exhaust manifolds. Oil Cooler. Measured 193. 5 BHP. Engine bay stripped and welded. power assisted steering. Vitesse 4 pot calipers and vented discs. TR8 servo. Rover 5 stud wheel conversion to widen wheel track. uprated brakes and improved front suspension including rear halfshafts and SDI legs. Front spax adjustable inserts. lower wishbone front suspension modification including anti-roll bar with new ball joints. 205 x 50 x 15 tyres on  15 inch alloy wheels. 3. 08:1 differential. S&S mohair hood in very good condition (apart from one popper has broken - the material is not torn). Stainless steel exhaust. Kenlowe Fan.

Approx 16k miles since conversion. the car has been garaged by previous two owners for a long time. and used very rarely to date.

Converted in approx. 1988. the car started out as a gold TR7. A 'standard' S&S 3500 cc conversion was performed. and then taken to Mark Grinnal for an uprated conversion to a 4000 cc along with a re-trim in grey for the interior. and the car was stripped to bare metal and re-sprayed in Pacifica Blue.

The car bursts into life on the turn of the key. the noise from the exhausts is amazing. and the car is very fast indeed! The car has charts to show 193. 5 bhp.

The paper work has all of the MOTs to show the mileage and when the colour change and engine changes occurred. The car has not covered many miles since the conversion (approx. 16k). nbsp;the previous two owners. and myself. have barely used the car. which is a shame. The car does have some blemishes. which are difficult to see in the photos. but are minor paint bubbles on front n/s and o/s wheel arches and a small rust spot on rear o/s. and three paint bubbles on bottom of drivers door.  There are also signs of where a TR V8 sticker has been removed from the front wings and been replaced with chrome effect 'V8' emblems. nbsp;however you have to be pretty close to notice; this car is not a newly re-sprayed car and does not have 100% paintwork (and this is reflected in the price) - having said this. the car does look stunning. sounds stunning and is great fun to drive.

Car is MOTd until 5 July 2014 and currently SORN.
