I am selling this vehicle for and on behalf of a client. needless to say. I have checked this beauty over and really enjoyed filming our detailed video tour. please sit back and enjoy the ride.
Porsche. the name alone evokes passion and sporting motoring history. driven by the very best and this 70’s era was the beginning of the Porsche sports car domination. This car is sure to set your heart to pump a little faster. a truly beautiful car that sounds completely awesome.
This car is built for historic rally competition. fully log booked. all up to date and ready to enjoy.
This car will not win a concours competition. whilst being a very tidy and well presented car. the car is built for real competition fun.
The car has a full MSA competition car log book for stage rally. category 1.
The car has a full no advisory MOT date of expiry is 23/06/2017.
I have the full V5 log book. declared manufactured 30/12/1970. First UK registered 23/09/1996. with 4 previous keepers.
I have a folder full of history dating back to the early 70’s where the car started out life in Florida. then California. then back to Germany. then eventually reaching the UK in 1996. nearly every detail in it. this car has had many 1000’s spent on maintenance. the current mileage is 40000. I am sure this is not the correct reading as in 1982 the car had covered 62000 miles. not to let this put you off please. I am sure the car has covered very few miles when spread over its 46 years!!
The car is mechanically sound. sweet powerful 2. 2 six cylinder carburettor engine. coupled to a smooth 5 speed dog leg ZF drive line. please listen to my video. you are sure to get the picture.
Suspension. steering and braking. are again in great order. Koni dampers on each corner. direct and responsive steering coupled with smooth and efficient braking all equating to a fabulously confident drive.
I have just fitted 4 brand new Toyo Proxes R888 tyres for this sale. super soft. ready to use in anger.
The bodywork is in very good order. it does have some rust bubbles on the boot lid and the bottoms of the doors. they are easy repairs. once completed there is no further visible rush anywhere.
The underbody is still very good and strong. it has had it’s welding as you would expect from a Porsche of this era. please don’t let this put you off. well repaired and still very strong. please watch my video to confirm.
The underbody also has its own armament. front and rear skid pans to protect on rough stages. please watch my video. super quality and very well fitted.
