Porsche 911 SC Classic

Sale price: $42,000.00 make an offer

Seller's notes: Can driving you have fun driving sports car and still make money on it? Only if its a pre 996 air cooled old school Porsche. This is a LHD imported from the US. It produces 188 bhp for the 3.0l Truely outstanding for its age, with restoration work to the body, engine and interior. Why LHD? Firstly if its for investment, it got to be LHD- the majority of Porsche collectors are LHD with only Oz, NZ, UK, SA RHD. If you are going to keep it for long term- LHD. Most high value collectables are now reconverting their RHD back to LHD. Secondly. Drives better. All RHD pre 996 you are off set to the right. Drive a RHD 993 or pre, then a LHD and your driving position is much better in LHD old school 911.If you are after a resorted and well kept 911 classic then look no further than this 1979 Porsche 911- entry price car with 98% of the restoration done.

Excellent. rust free. no oil leaks. all the restoration work done! Owning an early model 911 is an investment. Look at the prices trending upwards yearly. Apart from the investment potential this car is visceral in its driving. tingling all senses. An old skool air cooled 911. Good points- 1. Strong engine- pulls hard. Top transmission. G15 bulletproof. A1 Brakes. New tyres. 2. Custom exhaust- better than my RS and GT4 exhaust- more pops and bangs than any other exhaust including my 2 Akas. Love it! No drone. just pure flat 6 with over runs with every gear. Exhaust was hand made in Florida in the US. Have original exhaust should you not like over runs and pops. 3. New paint (glass out)- not perfect. but a 10 k job. Original FUCH wheels with new rubber. Stunning colour combination that turns heads. If you don't like attention. get yourself a white or silver SC. 4. 95% new interior- new carpets. new head lining. new leather on seats and doors 5. Documentation as 2 inches thick. More bills than than the asking price of this car. Maintained through out its life. ORIGINAL LOGS. Over 200 pages of documentation and receipts!!!!! 6. Drives like new. no expense spared to maintain this car. 7. You have a MAGNUS WALKER signature on the fuel cap! Signed by the man himself. Bad points- 1. Sill not concourse- a few seals could do with replacing- about a weekends work and $150 of rubber. 2. Electric windows could do with a service. still winds up and down. but not butter smooth. 3. Very small scattered dings. Could have done with a total bare metal rub down before paining but that would have added another 5 k to the build. 4. 2 scratches on car. 2 mm long. (just being picky about the paint). 5. Window tint dark- I got away with rego. I think the car looks better without tinting. 6. Sunroof seals probably need replacing in a few months. $70 worth of rubber and elbow grease. 7. Non standard radio- this has a CD and upgraded not original speakers. 8. Purist will take the Whale tail off. 9. paint with 3 bubble areas 2-3mm each.  10. one 2 mm ding right side bonnet Livery as a tribute to the days of Brumos Racing in the 70s and 80s. Find an SC and restore it to this level and you would not get much change out of 100k- selling as I have no room in the garage. and will not keep this car outside. Without doubt. drive it. maintain it. and probably sell it for 30% more than you bought it for in 2 years. If you have never driven a LHD 911. you will never go back to RHD. Its a revelation in driving position for classics. Sold without rego.
