1971 Triumph TR6 convertible with overdrive. restored over the past three years.   Much of the car has been either repaired. replaced or otherwise restored to original condition.   It had an electronic ignition unit that I left intact. as it appeared a recent upgrade. and this is virtually the only non-standard functional feature on this car. other than the addition of a J-type electric overdrive unit which is more durable than the original A-type unit.

Improvements. replacements. restorations and repairs include (but are not limited to) the following:

Rebuilt engine. to include replacement block (old one was cracked). new standard size rings. rod and main bearings. ground and lapped valves. nbsp;head resurfaced. new hoses. new 12-volt battery. battery cables and battery blanketRebuilt Stromberg carburetorsNew radiatorNew headlights. chrome headlight rimsNew door and trunk locks. keysNew heater coreNew custom built 3" diameter steel dual radius roll bar that does not impede the vision of the driver's rear-view mirrorNew fan shroud. fan beltsNew motor mountsNew stainless steel exhaust pipe and stainless steel mufflerNew carpet New seat upholstery. to include seat foam and fabricNew convertible top along with new vinyl top boot to dress up the looks of the car when the top is down (which should be most of the time)New windshield with sealNew red line tires. including spareRebuilt transmission and added a rebuilt J-type electric overdriveNew clutch disc. new throw out bearing. pressure plate resurfacedRebuilt speedometerRepacked all greased fittings. to include front steering. front wheel bearings. rear CV joints. new rear end gasket. fresh gear oilNew hydraulic inline rear shock absorber conversion kit. new front shock absorbersNew transmission and driveline PVC tunnel unitsFresh 'signal red' exterior paintNew AM/FM stereo and speakers.  Too many minor components replaced to mention (the restoration file is approx. 2 inches thick with receipts. diagrams. nbsp; etc.  These restoration files are not part of the offering. I will retain these)

While I have endeavored to return this vintage European sports car to original condition. nbsp;a few minor components may be of slightly different configuration/design. but the intent was to keep it original looking. and I believe I have achieved this goal.   The carburetors run perfectly fine throughout the performance spectrum. and have been rebuilt by a British carburetor specialist.  Currently. there is a minor oil leak around the front main seal. and a minor oil leak near the overdrive unit.  These minor leaks are of a nuisance nature only. and do not affect the performance of the car.

No manner of warranty is offered on this 45-year old car. nor any guarantee of any kind.  Sold strictly on an 'as is. where is' basis.  To the seller's knowledge. however. this car has been restored to a high degree of mechanical operation. and should perform admirably under normal driving conditions.   Additionally. NO PERFORMANCE CLAIM OR WARRANTY ON THE CUSTOM DESIGNED ROLL BAR is stated or implied.   This steel roll bar has been welded by a professional welder. and is bolted to the car's frame using (8) 3/8" carriage bolts. and will probably (but not guarantee) increase the likelihood of surviving a roll-over accident over the previous design of the car without any roll bar whatsoever.     I highly recommend. however. that the ultimate purchaser not roll the car over at all and put this custom-designed roll bar to the ultimate test.  It is a convertible. after all. and getting involved in an accident that results in the car rolling over is going to be rough on the passengers regardless. roll bar or no.

Down payment of non-refundable $1500 deposit via PayPal must be made within 24 hours of purchase.  Balance of the payment will be due within 7 days of the closing of the initial sale date via whatever secured means that guarantees the seller full valid payment.  If balance is not received within this 7 day period. seller may opt to cancel the transaction and relist the car. and buyer will forfeit the non-refundable deposit. If seller and buyer come to agreement on a late fee. then the 7 day period for payment of the balance may be extended entirely at the discretion of the seller.  Buyer shall take possession of the car within 21 days of the purchase date. and if pick up exceeds 21 days. a storage fee of $200 per month must be paid to seller prior to release of the car and the title.  Release of the car for transport will not occur until all funds are secured and verified as valid within seller's bank account.   No exceptions. sorry.   If you wish to use a wire transfer. please note that buyer will be required to pay ALL of these transaction fees. to include those by both sending and receiving financial institutions. and these fees are exclusive of the purchase price.  Buyer will not accept cash. as cash is a bearer instrument and accordingly is exceedingly risky.  Seller may consider a cash transfer only if a risk premium is also included in the purchase price. and seller has sole discretion on the nature of this risk premium and may have additional security requirements to be determined exclusively by the seller if a cash transaction is approved by seller.

International buyers are welcome to submit offers.   I will assist in the shipping if possible. for additional fees. nbsp;to the point of debarkation or export (west or east coast of the U. S. ).
