MGB ROADSTER 1967
New Lower Reserve!
For auction is my 1967 MGB Roadster in Old English White. She was first registered 24 February 1967 and is now into her 47th year - not concours. but very. very. good. Not a lot out there better than this! She is a real looker - inside and out!
She was valuated by MGB Owners club at £8250 for insurance purposes last year. This year she is currently insured at £9000.
Mechanically and bodywork. she is great. Overdrive with 3rd & 4th gears. Engine runs sweet. she accelerates well and gearbox is very positive with no transmission whine. Very importantly she holds good oil pressure. there are no oil drips/leaks. She doesn't burn oil and does not smoke.
Twin six volt batteries and un-leaded fuel. She was re-sprayed in Old English White (I believe the best colour an MGB Roadster can be) in 2011. At the same time she was re-upholstered in cream with cream seats and red piping and carpeted through out in red.
She has a 2" diametre stainless steel bore exhaust (bigger than standard) and stainless steel exhaust back box. The exhaust gives her a deep. throaty roar and she sounds great!
Wheels are all spoked - as is the spare. and all tyres come with good tread.
She is garaged and dry-stored with a dust-cover. nbsp;and has never been driven in the wet. In fact. since owned. nbsp;she has only been driven with out the hood!
The car obviously comes tax exempt. nbsp;also comes with a full MOT (no advisories).
Pictures are of excellent quality. as you can see. Any bidders who wish to view can do so by appointment.
At end of auction a £200 deposit will be required within 24 hours. Balance to be made by cash or bank transfer and car to be collected within 7 days of auction end. If you cannot do this please do not waste my time or yours - thank you.
A good condition vinyl soft top and dust cover are also included.
Overall. a fantastic MGB. she's a real head turner. nbsp;she sounds and looks great. They do not come along all that often. She is a joy to drive and ready to drive away for the winning bidder.
As stated. she is not concours. and this is reflected with a very realistic reserve price.
Good luck with your bidding.
Forgot to mention. as can be seen in pics she has orig. wooden steering wheel and at the time of re-spray it was thought thought her shell is original.
