 Reason I  am Selling: "do not use" 6x6 Military Tanker Truck Water tank 855 Cummins Diesel LOW MILES

I have for sale an AM GENERAL 800 series 5 TON 6x6 tanker truck. The tank is 1643
gallons it is steel INSULATED tank complete with a large square chute sliding door on rear of the tank for rapid unloading of the water. It was previously used for a fire truck and only hauled water. So it has never been contaminated with any chemicals etc. If you are going to use the truck to haul  potable water . the tank would need to be steamed out first because it is a little dirty inside. It has a 855 Cummins non turbo diesel engine in it with 250 horsepower. It has a 5 speed manual transmission.
and only 18. 45. actual miles on it. and 701  engine hours. This truck is literally not even broke in yet. Starts and runs like new. Zero blowby . no funny noises etc.
The truck has a PTO on the transmission.   It  Does not have a water pump on it for the tank but a pump could be added easy  since the PTO is already there.
 No heater in truck cab. it did not come with one from the factory. Headlights work but only one tail light works. I suppose the other taillight needs a bulb . I did not even look because i do not have any 24 volt bulbs anyway. This truck is a 24 Volt system. Starts right up and runs great. Tires good one tire has some weather cracking. All of the glass is in the cab. The brakes work. seat is torn and should be replaced or could use as is if you want to. This truck was used on a Federal Wildlife Refuge as a fire truck  here in North Dakota and has been stored inside most of its life.
The truck has one fuel tank i would estimate it is about a 100 gallon tank or so.
The truck is not built for speed  55 to 60 MPH is about cruising speed for the truck however. it will go through about anything with the 6 wheel drive and it is a blast to drive.

This truck has power steering. decent tires. it is easy to drive. This truly is a BAD BOY water truck and would work great for spraying or transporting water to your cattle. horses or just watering down the road to keep the dust down. Would make a great septic pumping truck too. At one time this truck had spray bars on the front and rear so all of the plumbing is there. It would work great for off road areas or in the wet fields too with the 6 wheel drive.

I was going to make this in to a dump truck but. do not have the time so i have decided to sell the truck with the tank on it. It is a 1973 AM General Truck. No complicated electronics to cause problems on this truck. The truck is located near Bottineau. North Dakota. It is an excellent running truck. Clear TITLE !
Successful bidder must make a   deposit of $1000. 00  within 24 hours after auction ends. The remaining balance must be paid in full when or before  the truck is picked up.
Truck must be paid for in full and picked up within 15 days of auction ending.
Buyer is responsible for shipping costs and arrangements.
