I bought this Datsun 280 ZX a couple of years ago off a chap in London who had owned it for the previous 21 years but sold it as he was getting older and wasn't using it. He kept it in his Garage and used it sparingly hence its low mileage at about 86K and its great condition.

I have added to the mileage somewhat in the last 2 years as I have done two classic car rally's. the most recent of which has just finished (2nd Oct). We drove back from Ghent in Belgium this morning on the last day of a 5 day trip which also took us to Luxembourg. Kitzbuhel in the Austrian Alps. Rastatt in Germany and back. totalling 1850 miles. I can therefore confidently speak for its current reliability!

Since owning it I have had various work carried out to make sure it was reliable for these trips including:

4 New shock absorbers

Various new bushes

New fuel pressure sensor

Replacement front caliper

New Coil

New Rotor Arm & Distributor cap

New Fuel filter

Steering Rack refurbished

New Master cylinder

Steering column Headlight/indicator switchgear rebuilt

Bonnet (back to metal) & bumper resprayed

Compression tested & oil pressure check.

It is a great car and as I am sure you know they are a rare sight nowadays and you get great comments wherever you go.

I now feel it is time to sell it on to someone else who can take it to its next adventure.

General condition is very good with no rust & it is by far the best one I have seen. There is a little bit of paint which has come away when removing the decals from this year's rally on the doors (see 2 x images) but otherwise the condition is very good. This would only cost a few hundred pounds to sort out if you wanted to. It also comes with the genuine Wolfrace alloy wheels as seen in the p[ictures and a set of 5 original wheels.

I have most of the old MOT's to verify the mileage along with many tax discs and some other history.

Other cars are being advertised for up to £9000 (apart from the one which is £12K but they are often likely to need some of the service work done to them which I have already carried out over the last 2 years at a cost of about £3000.

You could get this car for similar money with the service work already done?

No overseas and please. please come & have a look over a cup of tea. I would rather you come & see it then decide it is not for you than bid blind. The only way to be sure about the condition of a classic is to see it.
