Driven in summer and dry stored in winter.
This 1974 Tax Exempt VW Beetle has had many upgrades to make it more drive able and reliable and also keep up with modern traffic.
It had a custom built brand new 1600 engine from vwspeedshop 4 years ago. The engine kit consists of as many genuine parts as possible such as a genuine vw crankcase. the last of the vw 040 sport cylinder heads with mahle barrel and Pistons. Cb performance crank. rockers and an engle camshaft.  
A fuel pressure regulator has been fitted along with a twin weber 34 carburettors with empi manifolds and linkage. Once completed the engine was run in and rolling road tuned. The engine kit alone cost me over £2500. It has been serviced every 4000 miles and has been trouble free since fitting.  A new Bosch starter motor was fitted around 12 months later. It has now done just over 24000 miles.
A genuine VW GT gearbox has also been fitted.  These gearboxes are much sought after and very difficult to find whilst being stronger and more reliable than standard versions - not to mention a much better range of gears.  The car will happily cruise all day at 55-65mph. The gearbox oil has been changed every 10000 miles.
The car has 4 great condition maxis tyres. runs disk brakes on the front and drums on the rear.  The pads and disks have plenty of life left in them having only done 2000 miles. With a Superb set of deep Chrome Wheels and Trims which look Fantastic.
The car is solid underneath and has been well looked after. Any necessary repairs have always been completed properly by a local reputable garage. It has been under sealed and waxoyled to prolong the life of the car.
The bodywork is also in good condition. it is by no means a show winner but is only showing a few small signs of deterioration. I have had day mouldings fibreglass wings fitted to the car - these are hard to come by as they are made using original vw tooling in the uk.  
The interior is in good condition and again has been well cared for. The front seats are aftermarket models but are tasteful. comfortable with one very small tear in the drivers seat. The original bench seat is fitted in the back with a seat cover to protect it matching the front seats. Some of the plastic components on the seats have cracked or become brittle but everything works as it should.
The car has a full 11 month MOT. I have a full folder of history with the car and even includes the original manual and over £4000 pounds worth of work done to this superb car.
This car drives better than any beetle I have ever driven.  This Beetle to be used daily. for shows and for long distances in style and comfort. This is a superb Classic 70's feel Beetle. which is extremely cheap to insure A perfect way to get into classic motoring  Needs nothing at all and is more than ready to GO!
