Ford Escort Mk2 1600 4 Door, Blue, Mint

Up for auction is my 1600 4 door escort which i've been driving round for the last 6 months covering approx 4000 miles. A really tidy. genuine car which has never let me down. reason for sale is i need something more modern for work commitments.

Bodyshell:

Built from a never welded 4 door. non-sunroof 1300 Ghia shell. It was taken back to a bare shell on a spit and had a large gearbox tunnel and tramp bar boxes fitted. It's had a new front panel. wings. wing rails. kick panels and boot wells. Rear arches rolled to allow plenty of room for 7' wheels. All doors. bonnet and boot are mint. The doors are fitted with the rare opening quarterlight windows. The underside was fully ziebarted. A mint loom was fitted then pro altered for spot lamps. S 5 clock dash. RS Clock/pod. Front and rear bumpers are all fibreglass with alloy bumper brackets on the back. Alloy detachable lamp brackets. S2000 rear boot spoiler. genuine ford original non locking petrol cap. Clear wipac headlamps. New round headlamp grill. New Chassis tag. All original bronze glass the original dealer sticker in rear window!

Engine:

1600 Crossflow. stripped. rebored. new pistons. oil pump. timing chain. all new bearings. Fully run in and regular oil changes. All hoses are black samco ones.

Gearbox + Clutch:

Low mileage 5 speed type 9 gearbox fitted with a rosejointed gearstick. Steel bellhousing. New clutch plate/cover. RS 1 piece heavy duty propshaft. RIX 5 speed gearknob.

Axle & Rear Suspension:

RS2000 Axle fully rebuilt. tramp bars with all new bushes. Fitted with all new bearings. Mint genuine ford 4. 44 CWP on a salisbury plate type LSD unit. New cosworth handbrake calipers on solid disks (Cables all fitted MOT legal). GP4 stud fitment. Adjustable AVO shocks on the back with competition single leaf springs.

Front suspension + Brakes:

Genuine Bilstein GP1 front legs converted to adjustable ride height. 260/60 inserts. 2 piece aluminium top mounts. Wilwood 4 pot calipers. New disks and pads. RIX bias pedal box. Alloy hubs GP4 fitment. Standard crossmember. Quick rack + GP4 joint. RIX twin cam anti roll bar.

Ashley 4 to 1 exhaust manifold and twin box system. 4 x Mint GP4 7 x 13 powder coated minilites. Bridgestone 185 / 60 / 13 tyres.

Interior:

Mint black cloth seats and ghia rear seat. Mint uncut black ghia door cards. Mint Black dash top. Black automatic carpet. D player with USB port with speakers located on parcel shelf.

This car has 5 Months MOT and 5 Months Tax.

Willing to do a deal to keep the wheels and tyres. Possible P/X for an 09 or newer seat ibiza.
