1966 Plymouth Belvedere II 2 door hard top 400ci 2 x 4 A/C P/S

Up for sale is my 1966 Plymouth Belvedere 2.   I am the 2nd owner and purchased the car about 7 years ago after I retired.   It was a slant six survivor from North West Georgia and was wearing its original paint.   The body was rust free save for two small spots on the lower rear window channel.   The car. as I said was a slant six automatic and had an AM radio and automatic as its only options.   The interior is original with Ivey Gold cloth with bench seats. When purchased  it had been off the road since 1982 and had 46. 00 original miles. It now has just under  50. 00 miles and will likely have just over 50. 00 when it is sold.

Over the last 7 years. the car was transformed into a great car. The engine was swapped for a 400 big block from about 1975. It was completely re built. including a balanced forged crankshaft. roller rockers. medium lift mopar cam. mildon high volume oil pump. vintage Offenhauser 2 x 4 intake manifold with original Carter AFB 500 cfm carburators.    The radiator is an Aluminum cross flow with 2 high CFM electric fans that are relay controlled. They come on at (1) when the water temp hits 180 degrees or (2) when you turn on the Classic Auto Air. air conditioning system.

 The transmission is a column shifted 727 fully rebuilt with a shift kit and stall converter.

The rear is a 3:23 sure grip positive traction in a 489 case that was built by Franklin welding.

 The suspension was fully rebuilt. with a V8 “K” member. heavy duty torsion bars.  Unisteer power rack and pinion steering. and super stock rear springs. The brakes are 12” drums on the rear and 12" disks on the front. The wheels are 15” and are shod with new tires.   The body is super straight and wearing only its 2nd coat of light yellow paint.  The chrome and stainless is beautiful. The floors are original with no patches or rust and all of the panels on the car original.   There weren't even any rust bubbles on the car.

The car's interior is original with the exception of the carpet. sill plates. and Classic Auto air  “perfect fit “ air conditioning system.  For safety we rewired the car and removed the junction block in the firewall.

This is a great car as is. but would make a great Hemi conversion for more WOW factor. I am sure there is more to describe. but I am at a loss to remember it all. so please ask for pictures and feel free to come and inspect the car.   It is a multiple show winner and I love showing the car off.
