1970 Dodge Challenger R/T convertible

Numbers matching 383ci 3-speed

Up for auction is this STUNNING 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T convertible. This is 1 of 19  383ci 3-speed R/T convertibles built in 1970. You will have a hard time finding a much nicer example of an American classic muscle car than this! This sporty convertible is a numbers matching car but currently has a 4-speed manual (833) transmission in it for a more enjoyable drive. The original 3-speed manual (A230) transmission will go to the new owner.   The Mopar received an off the frame restoration that was finished in 2010. Not one inch was overlooked during the restoration. Any part that could be rebuilt and reused was and if not. it was replaced using new parts. The car was completely disassembled and any part of the unibody was repaired or replaced where needed. The two front fenders were replaced and inside the rear quarters and wheel wells were undercoated.

The car is sporting its original FJ5 Sublime Green color and it looks fantastic! Per the owner he would rate the paint a 9. 75 on a scale of 1 to 10. 10 being the best. He says that the car has three very small blemishes in the clear coat. No touch ups anywhere on the car. It is base coat/clear coat paint and the bottom was painted with a urethane coat. The Challenger was painted while disassembled and a second coat was applied when the car was back together then clear coated and wet sanded and buffed. All the trim was off the car when this was done. As you can see from the pictures. all the stainless and chrome is in perfect condition. All the body gaps line up straight. Also. this was ordered new with a rare stripe delete option so it very well could be the only one of its kind. The entire interior is new with a Legendary interior and top.

The 383ci Magnum was completely rebuilt and was bored 30 over and was dyno tested and has a 8 ¾ 355 Sure grip rear end.   The odometer is showing 129. 00 miles and with it being only a three owner car it is believed to be correct. The motor and car only have about 1. 00 miles since the complete restoration. This car has been registered with Galin Govier and the 1970 Hamtramck Registry.

I know that I have missed something on the car so please feel free to email or call me with any questions that you might have.
