Rover Metro 114GSi

Anybody fancy taking on my Rover 114 GSi 5 door in Silver?

The head gasket was gone when I got it. which was why it was taken off the road. The head gasket is now sorted with new head gasket set. stretch bolts. cam belt. thermostat. oil. filter and flush etc. I have a field and it had been tested by driving it forwards and backwards around our field as well as standing idling.

It now needs an MOT which expired in April 2015 but it is not rotten. My friend says it has a partly seized handbrake cable. there is a small exhaust blow from the engine end that quietens down as it gets hot. The idle speed sometimes sticks above normal.

The car starts very easily and had good tyres. It has various blemishes around it. a split in the driver's seat. the door mounting plate for the electric window is missing so the switch is loose.

You are welcome to come and see it. even test drive it around our field before you bid. I was going to drive it to my favourite garage 18 miles away to a booked MOT. but 50% of their labour force has to have an operation so they don't want it for at least 6 months. Best to trailer it away. The V5C is present and correct and in my name as I was planning to use it until the MG Metro is ready next year. but I bought a fully running SLi which I have been enjoying this summer.

I would love to see it returned to the road but I just do not have the time and I have lost my main storage. I still have a 114i SLi and I have a MK1 MG Metro that is being restored so don't worry I will not be Metro less!
